The look on your grandmother's face when she remembers her mother's syrniki reminds me of the look my mom has when she recalls her own late mother's special dishes and things she used to do.

My heart always become at the size of a pea whenever elders (within their 70's, 80's, 90's and on) speak of their parents in such an emotional and nostalgic way (which is an extraordinarily marvellous thing), I am always overwhelmed when they still speaking about them as if they saw them last week or last month when in many cases they have long departed from this lifetime.
