You can only switch off one side. Either NO or NC.
You cannot off it totally

Excellent practical application of timer switch but connecting the bare cables to the Extension board seems unprofessional and unsafe next time consider using appropriate connectors. Thanks

Yeah right, thanks. This was just quick demonstration. It even has to go through a breaker before the mains supply, not an extension board
