Hey friends! Just wanted to clarify - this video is just 8 short minutes from over 6 hrs we spent with Jack interviewing and teaching him about his personality patterns. This video by itself is definitely not enough to type anyone - and Ne will obviously not look exactly the same for each unique person & individual! We hope the video can show you some fun examples of Type IRL and insights on how Ne cognition works!
Jack didn't have any knowledge of MBTI or his functions before this call, but ended up sharing some great insights - especially about how his Extroverted Functions sometimes make him overthink fitting in with people. If you'd like to check out the extended interview, it's on the website! Thanks so much for watching & your support! :)

I’m an inferior Ne user, but I do recognize the healthy times I idea jump to entertain my loved ones (Fe-Ne). I also have a great friend that is a Ne dom and I love listening and relating to some of his thoughts

I’m an Fi-Ne-Si-Te (yes, I’m an infp) so I can somewhat relate to him however, I love knowing answers to things and delving deep into topics.

I know an ENFP-INFP pair at work and they can go on forever using their Ne endlessly to talk about ideas they both Fi like. They keep going and sometimes just like discussing while making no conclusions. Can you relate? This makes me go a little wacky personally since my Ni wants to get to a point and move forward after getting the Fe vibes about a topic.

@@AntoineLavoisieroh yea, I love speaking without it leading anywhere. I don’t care if we don’t come to a conclusion, it’s all about discussing stuff that is intriguing. I don’t mind finding answers as well though. People have told me I speak a lot once I get comfortable, idk if it’s related to Ne. I also enjoy brainstorming, it’s enjoyable. Now, I’m curious, what’s it like having Ni? U must be either an infj or intj, right.

@@Floral_skies2727 ENFJ here so my Ni is in the second slot. I get my best ideas alone. I’ll then tend to sloppily gather some Se data to support the idea and rush to share it with the tribe (Fe) to get their feedback. I really need to determine the value of an idea with others to confirm it’s a good one. I tend to want to make a plan and narrow down quickly but do enjoy brainstorming. I’ll just have my own Ni ideas to play around with.

"I don't think i have ADHD because *perfectly explains ADHD*" lol yes, we almost always get back to the point IF we are allowed the space and time to.
Not sure if this is the universal ADHD experience, but I tend to lose track of THINGS and TIME. But I'll never ever lose track of an idea. I might get several more ideas on the way to the point, but I rarely forget the point I'm trying to make.

Adhd is just as arbitrary or meaningful of a lable as mbti is. More recently, people are starting to attribute positive and neutral behaviors with adhd in addition to the ones that should actually be characterized as a disorder. Adhd, much like autism, is becoming a personality type in the minds of the collective concisous because people love to define themselve as their faults and then change the definition/scope of the word to make themselves feel better. People don't define their terms meaningfully. If we define common adhd in terms of cogfxs, then it's Si-Fi ambivilance, avoidance, or natural weakness with Ne overuse. Purposless ENTPs, hedonistic ESFJs, and divergent INTPs. ENFPs, less so INFPs. Dissociated/anxious ENTJs.
If your attentional/diverging quirks don't give you or other people problems that you can't manage, then you don't have a disorder characterized with a deficit in attention.

This is so the opposite for me with my Ni. While I love pinging off the tribe with my dominant Fe, my best ideas tend to come while I’m in the shower or other period of being alone. I like group think but I typically come prepared with ideas I’ve already worked through internally. Also this guy might be an ENTP jumper, I saw a lot of Ne and Fe.

Each person is unique! Also, Ne Dom’s will definitely have a different relationship to Ne or comfort level with extroverting, interacting and exploring outside than other NP and SJ types with their Ne.
For me, I also tend to find it easier to brainstorm or be creative by myself.
      Hope you enjoyed the conversation!

@@AntoineLavoisier Which type do you consider yourself to be? ENFJ or ESFJ? I think Ni typically gives ideas to people when they are not mentally actively doing something, just like you describe. Ne is the opposite of this and Ne people tend to get ideas if they are actively engaging with the external world.
Based on that my guess is that you're an ENFJ then?

    • @AntoineLavoisier
      @AntoineLavoisier 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@@PowerRedBullTypology I should have explained that better in my initial reply. Yes, I’m an ENFJ Fe-Ni so I was saying how it does work so differently for me. We can explore ideas for awhile but eventually I want plans and solutions. I know many ENFPs and while I love them for being them, when they just keep bouncing Ne ideas back and forth with no end in sight, I go a bit crazy.

@@AntoineLavoisierSince you talk about 'jumpers'I guess it you are into Objective Personality System?
If so, then I think that system could benefit from expanding the 'tribe'/'self' aspect by not only using them for the judgement functions, but also for the perceiving functions.
Ne is basically a group activity. Everyone throws ideas around and after that the group sort of decides, whereas with Ni it's very personal and individualistic which idea they follow and Ni does not want that tribe imput.
When I was younger I would watch movies with my siter and we would constantly talk over hte movie about the movie, pointing out where story would likely go, what made sense or did not make sense etc. I think the reason is that for us perceiving such a thing as a movie/tv is an activity that we tlike to do in a group and where the group actively show their perceptions about the thing that is being observed. On my own I hardly ever watch tv. I just want to watch tv when I can talk about what is going on, since that is the fn aspect for me.
I think Se will likely work in a similar manner as they also like to 'group perceive' , but in a sensing way. So they like to experience things togehter with others (tribe), yet make their own judgements about it (self judgement).
So with Ne everyone thorows their perceptions on the table, and everyone makes their own judgements about them
