Over everything else, the reason I choose Lumix is because the camera give me tools of convenience and make my life easier. I no longer need to use a gimbal. And unless its a longer interview, I don't need a tripod. That is two less things to carry and worry about. Cameras nowadays are all so similar spec-wise that I like to look for what a camera can offer me tool wise. Love my S5ii.

Yep, at this point, features matter more than specs because they all look good image wise.

Always enjoy hearing Anthony's takes! I definitely agree that thinking of free product videos and sponsored videos as "showcases" and not reviews is the way to go. I started using that word a couple years ago when talking to brands and I think it makes the most sense. Also the fact Anthony was using an S9 for this podcast gives me so much hope for that camera to be my next B-cam haha

Ha! Yeah I think we got to about and hour and that was filming in 6K open gate 24fps not even the open gate lite mode

Love the proposal analogy 😂 great chat as always. Love Anthony.

Honestly I saw a short on IG and it matched so well! Like beautiful places and the guy tied his shoe. And then ended up proposing not in the cutest way in a parking garage😂😂

I love how straight forward Anthony is, and love his channel because of that. People will always be people, many times they just need to put their frustration somewhere, and it comes easy on the internet.
I’ve went through so many of them, that cames down even to racial slurs. And I’m a small channel, so I can’t imagine what you guys go through.
But this podcasts are amazing, and loving them.
I think the S1II shouldn’t aim at the a7S line ups, but more at the Nikon Z6III. But that’s my take
I’m so scared of working with camera companies when the time comes, how can you be sincere about a product, when you basically can’t say bad things about the products without being blacklisted? I feel like companies should just take that as okay cool, let’s write them down, and try to improve them if we can, and if not, then just say it. But this black list mentality is what I think it is destroying creator’s fairness.
Said that, Keep it up, can’t wait for the next one 👊🏾

Dang brother sorry you had to go through that. I feel like as long as you position yourself as trying to help both the company and the viewer is the middle ground. Like giving them or emailing the company with your issues or concerns can help the company before blasting info online first.
Thanks though for the love and support! I definitely think Nikon shakes up the industry with the price point and specs in the camera which is good for us consumers

I kinda hate the Moire my s5ii catches. I know you can avoid it but when it's there, it isn't easy to fully fix in post. And no guys, i won't upgrade it with the Kolari OLPF/AA Filter that costs as much as a used S5. The S1HII is on my wish list. I will upgrade and keep the s5II as back-up cam.

Yeah! I personally use element filters and avoid most moire problems

Which Element filters do you use? Are they helpful at reducing moire???

@@MatthewDangyou I have used Diffusion Glow Mist 1/4 filters but many times i need that more digital look for projects.

Hey! So I have the entire set 1/32 all the way to 1. I personally love the 1/8th just to soften the image

    • @MatthewDangyou

Then that is when a 1/16th or 1/8th comes in hand. 1/4th is to strong in my opinion

I live in Brazil and here acquiring photographic equipment is a bit difficult (due to several factors, exchange rate fluctuations, taxes, and limited brand representation).
I plan to trade in my old 6D and ZV-E10 for the S5IIX next year (to make things easier), but this "delay" by Panasonic in releasing a new, updated model is killing me. It's like you said, I don't want them to release an unfinished product, but the delay is starting to get long.
I've seen countless videos about the S5IIX and it is, without a doubt, an excellent equipment. But it's been 2 years since it was released and it uses an old sensor.
And what makes it worse is that competitors (Canon, Nikon and Sony) release models with small improvements over their predecessors, but they are justified. For example, the R6 and RII are 2 years apart, but there has been a big improvement in the focus and read out speed of the sensor.
In short, I would really like to enter the Lumix world, but buying an extremely robust piece of equipment, but with old details, makes me apprehensive.

The S1 is the company's flagship and they must be putting a lot of attention into it.
But I would love to see an S5IIIX with a new sensor, more phase focus points and maybe internal raw video.

+1 that people are looking forward to new Panasonic cameras! My GH5S is starting to seem a bit ancient but maybe I just need to turn off TH-cam. It's honestly adequate. I almost sold my MFT gear for a Sony A7SIII but I'll wait to see if I can stick with the Panasonic vlog workflow I know. Would love to see a GH7S to round out the biggest weakness of MFT with dual native ISOs 💯

Can you share a link to the YT channel for Oliver Earnest? I looked for it but didn't find a channel that had any gear reviews. Im sure Im spelling the name wrong or something simple. Also... Thank you for doing what you do and most especially thanks for bringing people on for these conversation style videos. One Happy Subscriber over here.

I bought lumix because it could do more for the money and some stuff others cant do at all. The two most important reasons for me are the 4.3 format and open gate. You have to go really expensive if you want a 4.3 open gate camera that is no lumix. I wish lumix would realize how important 4.3 and open gate are. 65 video modes are great but only 1! In open gate is not enough. Make your strengths stronger, lets go lumix!

Lumix gives us exposure tools that no other brands offer at the price point Lumix does.
