One correction, Batista RETAINED the world title in 2007 inside the Cell. Another thing, 2010 ALMOST didn't happen (which is why Bragging Rights happened so close to the event that year) because Vince came THIS close to axing Survivor Series altogether, but a fan petition saved it.
Thanks, for the correction Vincent! Glad they listened to the fans and it didn’t get axed back in 2010. I’m really not a fan of the whole brand competition thing, feels too much like the NFL pro bowl or something and bragging rights was that for sure. The storylines should almost always take precedence over the gimmick of the ple. Thanks for the comment!
Fantastic retrospective sir! Though Survivor Series is considered to be the least-important PPV of the "Big 4", it's given us SO many important moments. Looking forward to future vids. Again, fantastic job 👏
Not only did the the wwe championship match at 2011 Survivor Series start one of the memorable title reigns of all time but it was also the last appearance of the late great Howard Finkel who Punk had as his own personal ring announcer.
100% agreed I hated the “big dog” face Roman, it felt forced in a time when they needed something organic. Part of the reason I tuned out during the late 2010s. Thanks for the comment!
Also the ritle tournament at Deadly Game had nothing to do with 97, beyond the finish to the final.. The title was heldvup after StevexAustin was pinned by Kane and Undètaker at Breakdown, the following Taker/Kane match at Judgmeng Day had no winner. Which lead to a tougnament highlighted by the return of Duane Gill.
Oh that makes way more sense when I was wondering why it took them a year to settle that from 97. Shitty research on my part, my bad. Thank you Sir for the correction!
No comments for 88 or 89? 88 was significant because it offered the first indication of trouble within the Mega Powers (leading to a HUGE WMania 5 main event). 89 was a really fun show which closed with Ultimate Warrior (not Hogan) celebrating. This was also foreshadowing his big victory against the Hulkster at WM 6.
Honestly, I was crunched for time and it being my first true long form video I cut some of the PPVs I was less familiar with. I'd however love to revisit Survivor Series in the future. Thanks for input, it is much appreciate.
Pretty sure dusty Rhodes drew war games on a napkin. Idk if HHH did but it’s odd 2 steel cage structures both started with napkin drawings. I think the creater is confused
Yeah apparently from what I’ve researched, Triple H drew a rudimentary outline on a napkin and then WWE production designer Jason Robinson designed the final blueprints. Then a welding company in Colorado built the final structure. I’d always heard that Dusty got the idea after watching Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. So I think that they might have both had their origins with a quick napkin sketch. Thanks for the comment.
They do have these traveling midget wrestling promotions. I remember we saw one called micromania it was pretty fun. I’m pretty sure they have other ones too, they put on a really solid show for the most part.
I would tend to agree that they can be rather underwhelming, but if done right like at say Survivor Series 03 can make for a pretty memorable match. That being say you’re right 98, 02, 22 and my favorites and don’t feature the match type. Thanks for the comment!

That you very much, appreciate your support! I hope to improving and pumping out content!
So Survivor Series debuted 3 days before I was born?? Nice. Awesome video!!!
I’m a November baby myself and have had a few fall on my birthday as well. Thanks for the comment!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 looking forward to this Saturday! 🙌🏼 keep up the hard work! 😎
This year survivors series you can certainly add to memorable moments in wrestling history :) wow
Oh absolutely! Wild show start to finish knocked my expectations out of the park. One of the best Survivor Series in history imo.
great work dude!
Thank you sir! Much Appreciated!

Oh yeah to counter Del Rio’s Riccardo Rodriguez. I had no idea that was Finkel’s last appearance.
Vince didn’t need to push Roman rains- he’d already alienated most fans.

Correction: Sting had more than one match in WWE. He only had one WrestleMania match however.
My bad your right he had 4. Thanks for the clarification!
Taker debut is still my favorite survivor series

Mizaissance is alive and strong 😎💪💪
Hell Yeah!

Sting had a match with Seth also
Yeah, you are correct I think he had a total of 4. I should have been more clear and said 1 WM match. Thanks for the comment!
I'd love to see a midget wrestling league!
They do have these traveling midget wrestling promotions. I remember we saw one called micromania it was pretty fun. I’m pretty sure they have other ones too, they put on a really solid show for the most part.
brain food
Thanks big dog!
Survivor Series elimination matches are boring af. The best survivor series didn’t include them (1998)
I would tend to agree that they can be rather underwhelming, but if done right like at say Survivor Series 03 can make for a pretty memorable match. That being say you’re right 98, 02, 22 and my favorites and don’t feature the match type. Thanks for the comment!
Thats like saying the Royal Rumble would be great without the stupid battle royal
