Great point about not scraping right away!!!...she comments as she sheaths her knife...almost scraped one of your fresh reeds at second sitting. I’m glad I watched this first, I totally go for the scrape when the reed is “hard”, yet now I’m thinking they are just in a preserved “sleep mode” waiting for their turn to be played on :) and it’s already waking up beautifully! I’ll remember this new take when you send my EH reeds. - Jenny
Yes. I have one tucked in my case for occasions when I need to demonstrate something for a student but don't have my actual reed soaked and ready. I haven't found one yet that gives me the exact amount of resistance I want, and they don't really "break in" so I don't use it with any regularity.
