Received a Toaks 750ml and a 450ml pot 2 weeks. Some things like Mac and Cheese are difficult to cook in the 750 ml. You have height but not the width need to stir and you need to heat water in another vessel to have a hot drink. Planning on buying the 900 ml D115 because it will open up so many more opportunities in menu planning ( cooking bacon ), easier to clean pot and the extra room will be great to carry spices etc.
    Enjoy your Toaks gear!

I was sold on the idea of cold soaking. So I sold and gave away my titanium pot (had one a 750) to my son. Then purchased the Vargo BOT and THEN tried cold soaking. Yuk!! I mean, I kept trying it for about 6-8 meals. No way. Not for me. Ha! SO this is the one I settled on the 900 ml Toaks. One disappointment I had with the 750 it was hard to cook a meal in it as it was not large enough. I tried Freezer bag cooking and-nope. I'll use a pot and pot cozy. That way no spills, no melted bags, no work re-bagging food into freezer bags on the ground in a park or on the parking lot of a store etc., etc. Thanks for the good video. I guess it's good . . . cuz I agree! (ha ha!) Thanks.

You have explained the very same reasons I want one too. It will fit my Trangia triangle too. Just prompted me to pull the trigger….

TI alcohol stove, "Bushbox Ultralight" wood stove (70g, and also works as stand for alcohol stoves), 420ml TI cup, 900ml TI pot, 1,6L TI pot, ExoTac NanoSpark (much more practical than using a ferro rod), 3 cup Bialetti Moka Express (Italian coffee maker - 415g), and 1L Stanley food thermos (715g). Total weight 1,83kg/4pounds, so of course i dont necessarily bring all of this on every trip, but im not a through hiker, so it is an option... The food thermos allows me to just boil up the meal, and add it to the food thermos for rehydration, and so it is good for both saving fuel, and to minimize issues with food getting burned when using titanium cookpots. As a bonus, i can make 2 meals in 1 go, and it should stay hot for up to 24 hours.
Ive been pretty obsessed with weight for some years, but recently bought a 20kg/44pound weighted vest to get used to carrying more weight comfortably. Highly recommended 👍

The gsi Java drip coffee maker it the best in my opinion. If you are a coffee drinker. I just switched to a 1100 ml pot from pathfinder store. But haven’t tried it yet. But it’s a bigger pot to eat from. I just upgraded to the Soto wind master stove and it’s light years ahead of the brs stove. Lol this video is 4 years old.

I noticed that when I boil water in this with the Toaks solid fuel stove, the water tastes odd. A bit burnt tasting, as if the smoke from the wood somehow got into the water. This doesn't happen if I use an iso fuel stove. Have you noticed this?

I'm waiting on the Toaks 900 ml 130mm short version. Should boil a bit faster, and is a bit lighter. We'll see. Good review!

What is that little square you put under your stove? Looks like aluminum.

@Hanging Outside what will nest in the pot? I carry propane canisters.

Good pot...I don't know if you ever go wrong using a titanium pot.

How well do the long handles defuse the heat? Do you use protection to pick up boiling water?

Sam Smith it works well, if I’m using an alcohol stove, the handles don’t heat up, but if it’s over an open fire, I would.

I’m always more on the cautious side. Check and if it feels good, go for it.

Your camera isn't focused. Try shooting with the light in front of you, not behind.
