Trying out the hitway bk 11 E bike movie

- After using my old mountain bike when i was last in Europe, I decided for an`upgrade`. Now then, I'm not the fittest of people when it comes to riding a bicycle ( and I'm not getting any younger ) so i opted for an E bike. After doing a bit of research I opted for the Hitway BK11 E bike, just to help me along when I go exploring the woodlands in Europe for abandoned structures and documenting them for my other channel. This is the very first time that I've really rode an E bike, so forgive me if I make some mistakes. Anyway I opted for the safest place that I could think of which is also the closest to where I live, and its the Rainford bypass which is not to far from Liverpool. The duel carriageway has a dedicated cycle / running/ walking `track` running along side of it . ( i just refuse to ride on our roads, its just to dangerous, and you will see with the amount of traffic that is in this video. ) The video is how I get on with the bike and what I think of it.. Its not a review of the bike itself, its just my opinion on how I get along with it. Thanks for watching.!!

Good on you Billy , I’m nearly 65 and bought the Hitway 2 thinking it had an accelerator but sadly it doesn’t I have very bad legs for cycling is it possible to get an accelerator for it xx
@jintyc9133 I bought a throttle but I didn't work on mine. Mind you the throttle controls are illegal on the U K, unless your on private land I would say
Nice to see that road has not changed much, i think you would like the roads down here in Cornwall the Camel trail has no cars on it plus nice an Scenic views in the Summer. Nice bike you have, have many happy miles on it mate.

Do you have to pedal all the time ?
@jintyc9133 yes, but the pedals just have to turn to get the motor working especially on a level surface

@@billyslittlebigadventurech9050 yes York should put it to the rest hope the weathers good I’m thinking of getting one as I currently use an ordinary old mountain bike and exercise my young border collie he can go miles and i could do with a little assistance on the hills 😂👍

A great bike will last ages but never fold them especially the handlebars!
Morning Billy just watched the video again on your Hitway can I ask please where did you get the riser bar for the camera and phone and what camera did you use thanks again Andrew made the decision and just ordered the bike should be delivered by Tuesday of next week
I use a dji action 4 . The small riser bar was from amazon. Its got a build in battery with it. Ill see if i can find a link for you 😁

hi billy i found your channel as i was looking for the bk11 mine is coming tomorrow i am 61 and find it hard to pedal my big mountain bike now so hopefully this will make things a bit easier we also have a narrowboat and this will fit nicely in the front of our boat and i can nip along the towpath to do the locks are you still happy with it and any info on your bag and front bar would be grateful cheers Billy from clive in nottingham .
Hi clive. The bike is easy to ride, and you can go quite a way before getting tired compared to a 'normal' bicycle. I've not tried it up an incline yet but im sure its better with the assist on. Enjoy it my friend 😁

Hi john, no ive not tried uphill yet. The places that im going are generally flat, but they cover a large distance in square miles. Might give billinge hill a go 🤣

Folding handle bars are a joke two spot welds poorly done my attorney is finishing up papers to sue this cheap crappy company that needs to be shut down I crossed a road as the welds snapped got hit by a car do to handle bars snapped from the welds waste of money
Hope that you are ok. Do you mean the hitway bicycles. Or any bike that has folding handlebars ?
The hit way ebike thier unsafe and a pour design if I could share pics on here I would send u pics of how pourly they craft them in my opinion send it back and get a better ebike

@@billyslittlebigadventurech9050 I'm just saying my ankles busted up fractured my elbow the but how the bike actually folds in half has come in handy when u get a flat or need a ride but once them bars in the head set locks them to the frame when folding the handle bars u will see two welds spot welds as some would call it totally unsafe for anyone to use and how high the bars sit up my attorneys guy that looked at it says that's another cause now I had to use regular mongoose handle bars in it to make it to my appointments since I can't legally drive anymore I just hate to see another person suffere the pain and body damage I had to endure at a safe speed of 10 mph that's 18 miles slower then my state legally allow in my state and to one of ur other questions just be careful and look for lack of welding I would look for full circular Wells on the top and bottom where the headset connects to the frame
@@user-pq2jl9yw1e Hi Jesse. Ive just checked my bike and there appears to be a lot of welding especially where the handlebars fold in two. I will defiantly keep an eye on it and look for any cracks . In the UK and Europe we can only ride an E bike up to 15.5 mph and it cannot have a throttle. Thanks again for the info and I hope you have a good recovery
