One of the great schizo expressions comes from the Parliament song "Funkentelechy" (an insane play on words alluding to Aristotle's concept of the entelechy, the perpetual active actualizing of that which is potential): 'the pimping of the pleasure principle'

Are you guys familiar with the last psychiatrist? Any chance of a discussion of his work in the future? Great ep this one, thanks to everyone involved!
@@AcidHorizon Thatd be so awesome. His solo works are too jargon-laden for me, and to get some discussion on his fundamental ideas and approaches to (anti)psychiatry would prove very useful i think!
Did Delueze and/or Guattari run therapy sessions like Psychoanalysis? And how did they put their concepts into practice in their sessions? Anyone have any links to info about that?
I'm always interested in the appeal western thinkers are making in disavowing, vehemently, the mystical. I'm Black practitioner of African diasporic traditions, and I study these various analytical practices. And I feel like you MUST know that this forecloses perspective in a rather Western hegemonic way. These actually aren't "mystical" to us either.
Hello, realise I'm rather late to this, and generally not one to comment but couldn't help but chip in with my take on the dream. I had quite a different reading of it, to me it seemed to speak to your relationship with the opposite sex. If I had to speculate I'd probably assume that you tend to be quite reserved in how you approach women and tend to take on quite a caring role in relationships. The dark, somewhat demonic woman in the dream therefore represents an image of the revered and perhaps even somewhat feared Other, women as a powerful force, in control of sex and therefore the power of life more generally (hence the empty plate and the hanging boy). Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this. For what it's worth while I'm no analyst I'm currently going through (trad) analysis, four days a week on the couch and that whole thing
I don't know why you're so dead set on "bringing down" concepts like hyperstition and the mystical aspects of dreams. This doesn't achieve anything other than to limit thought. It's frankly cowardly to take concepts and go "lmao these are just these far more mundane ideas but for wallet chain kids" or whatever. That's not exploration or discussion, that's severing limbs of inquiry and cauterizing them before they bud again.

Do you think that P-Funk is the most schizoid music? Or is it jungle? Both?

Great episode. The outro ambient track was also magnificent!
Thank you. I'll put out another album of interludes at the end of the summer. Here is the link to the track: soundcloud.com/sereptie/weight

really interesting episode, love it
This is such a great channel! I'd like to suggest Will MacAskill for a future episode.
Another case of a trenchant anti-Oedipus complex, I’m afraid. Sincerely, a certified “Cartesian Big Daddy”
The dream figure sounds a lot like a 40k Slaanesh entity tbf.
Interesting episode
Since you mentioned Stirner at the end: any videos discussing his work coming?
Stirner👍
Adam is doing his PhD on Max, and our discussion group on Patreon will be recorded.

Not familiar with their work. Any best resources to look at?
Love inner experience. Would you consider a primer on Guattari?? I cant find a good one anywhere
I think some Guattari is coming down the pike in the next few weeks or months.

Guattari was a practicing analyst. A good collection of Guattari's essays can be found in Semiotext(e)'s "Psychoanalysis and Transversality".
@@AcidHorizon thank you. 👍
@@AcidHorizon do these refer to his work as a therapist?

Kind of like: 'look, we're so cool and edgy and not projecting, at all, not one bit...ever.' 😂
