Every time I hear a native song, especially paired with historical photos or film, it does something to my heart. Thank you for sharing this. God bless you.

I've seen giant eagle Thunderbird physically 4 times in my life... This medicine is not to be dismissed. May I be a firefly to light the twilight and aid in the ways of the Wild. Blessings regardless your Nation or Tribe.

WOW! CAN'T BELIEVE IT! In 1998, Robbie Robertson did an album called Contact From the Underworld of Redboy, to honor his native American roots. On it is a song called Peyote Healing, and it is THIS SONG sung entirely in native words. It is on my Playlist. I LOVE IT! Now I know what it means! thank you!

Possibly some of my family. I don't know. Will probably never know. Found out in my late 50s that I am part Sioux. Not what the welfare department told me. My father was taken from his family in 1930. I was taken from him in 1960. He found his mother / siblings. Mother is Sioux. I don't know what his father is. No names. No information. I know nothing, but I am proud.
    Thank you for sharing.

Debbi Thomas I too from the welfare/foster system have no information on my relatives. Only a sparse spoken words from few family sources over many years. Pawnee...still my heart and soul weep with joy listening to this lovely song. Many blessing to you and your family.

Tree Nelson Yes many are in this situation. If you are older, upper 50's and up, many of our parents or grandparents were taken from their original families. In some cases those who did live off of the reservation were never told who they were or where they came from although some of the very basic traditions and everyday actions would indicate they were originally from indigenous peoples. One case I know of they were able to trace some old records that were kept by an "agency". On the enrolled tribal members list the person who was writing the roll would just write "Indian Joe or Indian Jane." Disgraceful and dehumanizing. Destruction of families was and still the agenda.

I recorded the sound of a Thunderbird on audio last summer, and just before a storm in the Appalachian Mtns of NC,not far from Cherokee...I shared it w a friend from Cherokee, and she said that she heard the same "call" 3 times in a row in the middle of winter while near the highest peak in the Great Smoky Mtns National Park. Though they never left, the Thunderbirds have returned,as have the Sabe/Sasquatch People in numbers we have never known before.
"A Change is Gonna Come..." Blessings.

Thank you Helen. This is beautiful. I'm in the same boat as many. I've been told That I'm Native American but just now searching for my roots and I'm 52. I have had way too many spiritual experiences involving Native American's for this not to be the case. I've been searching for healing methods, old traditional healing methods. I'm also looking for material regarding their spiritual belief's about healing. I love your video. Would you happen to know where I might find any of this information? Thank you and God bless you.

Hey Catherine McMartin, there's this website called archive.org and its a free internet library with a huge collection of books concerning Native American related topics. Go to the website and type into the search bubble "Native American Healing " and all types of books will pop up. I hope this helps and many blessings. P.s Don't use the wayback machine, go to the bubble under it.
