"Enjoy your time on this side of the dirt...." hahaha. That's a great saying. Might have to use that one. Oh, and hello Bow and Voilin.. Always good to see them.

Hey buddy, glad to see your feeling a lot more positive & having a bit better time of it. Nice to hear you laughing again, hope the family are doing ok. Your right about Electric shocks, something you definitely want to avoid. Take care & keep smiling 😁.

Hi Mr. McDonald, how are you?
SCRs always remember me of my first industrial job, repairing lots of Brown Bovery's Veritrons and Siemens' both Modulpacs and Simoregs (the old ones, without digital controls), everyday.
Do you know an DC servo drive made by Brown Bovery called Axodyn?
    That drive is amazing!
It was used with permanent magnet (field) DC servo motors, and to precisely control it, the drive applied 8kHz AC square wave through a bunch of MOSFETs, varying the duty cycle to run it clockwise of counterclockwise, making the square wave to get both more positive or more negative in the motor armature.
To keep the motor stopped it applied 50% duty cycle, what made it to have a great dynamic response, since the motor armature was permanently energized and there was much little hysteresis to deal with.

very nice video... many years ago when scrs were 1st being made several would be sort of test ok and would work. however some would breakdown at around 40-60VAC? and test ok with a low voltage semiconductor tester.. well a 100 watt light-bulb and a variable ACV supply could show the reverse leakage with light. don't seem to have a lot of that anymore. thanks great video...:)

I was going to watch the new video right now, but it's gone.
I hope you are well, friend.

I sometime make videos of what is on my mind at that time. And most often they show a side of my life that struggles. I upload the video. And then at two or three or four in the morning, I wake up. And think oh no not again. I can't believe I let that one go out. And then I delete the video.

If you don't laugh to hard. I will re-upload the deleted video of one of my Mother's sayings. I wish I had the strength to let things go. Someday...

@@PeepawMcDonald I watched most of your deleted videos, PeePaw.
Is that strong human side shows in that videos that made me consider you as friend, something I rarely consider over internet.
I've big admiration for you, sir.
      My respect. 🙏🏻

Should of explain that you need to sandwich the hucky puck together with a little pressure to get accurate reading.
