  • Prof. Shachar Richter, Professor from Tel Aviv University, Israel delivered a distinguished lecture to our students at Amrita School of Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine on the topic, "WHEN NATURE MISSES NANOTECHNOLOGY, DEVELOPMENT OF NOVEL BIO-COMPOSITES FROM RENEWABLE RESOURCES", on 7 December 2022.
Prof. Shachar Richter is the head of the Bio and Molecular Electronics Lab and a faculty member at the Department of Material Science and Engineering at Tel Aviv University, Israel. His Ph.D. was in Material Science and Chemical Physics from Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, and previously, he was an independent staff member (MTS) at Bell-Laboratories and Agere Systems.
Prof. Richter's current research interests are jellyfish-based composites, molecular and bio-electronics, bio-nanocomposites and novel patterning technologies. He held many public roles including heading the Material Science and Engineering and the Nanotechnology M.Sc program, and served as the President of Israel Vacuum Society and at the editorial board of several journals.
