You two have such great videos on Thai language! This one is especially instructive. I have a Thai Skype teacher and have been studying Thai for a couple years. My daughter and I went to Thailand for 15 days in June and my meager skills got us around and we made friends with many people. I think I'm going to binge-watch all your vids this week!

This the single most helpful video I’ve come across in understanding some of the grammatical logic behind Thai. What I find odd is that being able to speak Lao seems to be something of a hindrance half the time because I instinctively want to constantly compare the languages and often unwittingly slip into the Lao mindset. Thank you for this!

Great lesson, I always learn something new and I really appreciate it. One thing about "kaw". In English, many people say "Can I..." when they should be saying "May I...". "Can I..." means "Am I able to..." not "Am I allowed to...".

THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST USEFUL THAI LANGUAGE LESSON IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED ON YT. I lived in Thailand for 1.5 years, love the country and the language so much. Planning to go back next year :) Ive learnt the language but to be more natural is quite hard bcs most of my Thai friends speak English. So this is what Ive been looking for!! ขอบคุณมกนะค่ะ subscribe แหล ค่ะ^^

    Dear Mod and Pear,
This was very helpful, especially with the children. :) 12:55 mai vs yaa
13:50 LOL :) Your friendship is so cute at times. :)
I certainly have not been keeping up with my Thai lessons, but everytime I watch/listen to you I learn.
We got back a couple of weeks ago from our 3rd 2 week trip to Thailand visiting family. We spent the 1st week in and around Chiang Mai. Beautiful City, Grandchildren loved the Elephant visit, waterfall at the National Park, and the Royal Gardens. And upon our return to Bangkok, we went to Jomtien Beach and scuba with Mermaids Dive Center. I had my own adventures going by out by myself (and my smartphone/GoogleMaps) to MBK and also to a planned appointment with a Dentist for a checkup! Later my son-in-law and I enjoyed a visit to the Royal Barges. And, OH MY GOODNESS!!! It rained so hard in Bangkok that the streets flooded as well as our Family's Courtyard!!!! That was the day before and the day of our departure to the USA.
Thank you Mod and Pear for your welcoming lessons in Thai. Not only do the lessons help us with the language but you two personally making us feel so welcome in our visits to Thailand. :)
