Hey! You have something really cool growing here with this channel. Keep up the great work!
I’m coming in from the Ocarina of Time video, and was curious about this one when I noticed the difference in views. Noticing that majority of your other videos are Zelda related, I see how some reoccurring viewers might be off put with this topic. I’m no stranger to anime- no, not in the slightest-but to be honest, I’ve never heard of this one 😅
I’m all for mixed content channels, but I have to admit that the devil lies within the details. Try, when coming up with different topics for videos, finding where new subjects relate to what your core audience expects- ven diagram style. Like posting videos about other nintendo franchises (like Smash; it’s a strong start since it has zelda’s star cast already), or like how religion/religious stories have influenced games (since the world of Hyrule is basically Christianity meets Shintoism).
I’m more than positive that there are plenty of other people who are just dying for content about this anime, but here, it kinda feels like it’s coming a little out of left field.
Other than that, the only thing I took slight offense from was that you talked a bit slow on this vid- and I mean a little bit. Just enough for me to mess with the play back speed. The OoT vid had great momentum and flow, but here, I need to increase playback speed to 1.25 (but then it was too fast at times LOL). Go figure. I believe that you’ll find that your cadence will refine and mature as you create further videos, so speed really is no big deal. You’ll get it in no time
I have a friend who’s also staring up a channel. Has about the same amount of subs as you do, except he’s been uploading since 2015 lmao! He posted quite a few UMVC 3 videos, but nothing took off until he started uploading Blender tutorials (the 3D animation software, not the kitchen thingy) and now he’s starting to get a good following off of it-
My point is, just keep at it!! Keep moving forward, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! (Even if it’s me with this comment). Hope you have a good one 😁
Thank you soo much for the feedback! I'm still kinda new to YT and being a content creator and such so I'm still kinda clueless about everything so I'm still learning! ^^ Back when I uploaded this I haven't really gotten that many views anyway but now that people are actually watching my videos I figured that this wouldn't be as viewed as the Zelda content. So I kinda used this as a test of how other content works on my channel but it is what it is, YT algorithm doesn't really like mixed content. And you are absolutely right that "the other content" should still be other Nintendo stuff for people to pique interest. Trying new things and if they don't work, they don't :D
Were there any specific scenes where talking slow or fast were especially noticeable (and annoying lol) Cause in some parts I did those things intentionally to build up suspense and whatnot. I am also happy for your friend for getting more recognizition, nowadays it is a bit tricky to get noticed over here cause of the algorithm :D
But thank you so much for the amazing feedback! It really means a lot to me since I am still pretty new to everything! So thank you soo very much!
@@KCTriesNOT of course! Keep content you want coming out. Keep playing with your ideas. Be weird! Like, not uncomfortable weird, unique weird. Check out and break down how other content creators that you admire, but don’t try to emulate them. Pick out little things, and observe how other people do those little things differently. You’ll find yourself in the details. Like I said, it’s not my thing, but who cares. It’s your thing!
And the Algorithm Gods are, indeed, very picky. OoT is Very popular. But the things that you talk about don’t have to be OoT, Zelda, or specifically Nintendo at all! It could be about Final Fantasy and how it used to be synonymous with Nintendo, but Square partnered with Sony on FF VII for the 3D graphics, or how fighting games have impacted pop culture. Just make a list- your list- of things that you really enjoy. Doesn’t have to be games, it could be anything. You’ll be amazed when you see how much worlds intersect.
For the speed, I would say *pulls out google* aim for 140-160 words per minute. There weren’t really any key note moments where I became bothered by your rate of speech. I just dealt with it for just shy of a minute, and couldn’t take the slow talking anymore, and switched the play back speed to a higher rate for the rest of the video. It was 1.25 speed, so there Were times where it sounded too fast, which is great, bc it should sound too fast, but for the most part, it sounded just right, if just a little speedy. Sorry 😅
According to Google, the average word is about 2-3 syllables long, which comes out to a range of somewhere between 350 and 450 syllables per second. Pretty freaking fast if you’re a musician! But people don’t talk like a symphony, but like a dance. There are jumps and sways, slides and pops. There is no one way to speak. But people will check out sooner if rhythm is too slow.
Anyways, hope you do your best you! I’ll remember you when you’re famous 😉
