These are truly unprecedented times for all. Perhaps in the process we'll gain a greater compassion, love and appreciation for others.

This song is interesting its written like a Russian Polka as it was originally a Russian song by Gene Raskin before it was translated and re-interpreted by Paul McCartney with Mary Hopkins singing the melody. This was our first time performing it live to an audience. We are just a humble group of musicians from New Zealand trying to make and enjoy music in a tough industry. I personally understand this song to be about our loss of youth and youthful things. There can be a grief to those things as we surrender past seasons of life. The music however balances the lyrics out with its fun polka beat.

Great effort Anna, audience a bit hmm. Best version voice wise is Bonny Tyler, only lives down the road from me but has a voice that could grind metal. Perhaps Simon Garfinkle tunes, sound of silence be more suited? Just a comment Anna no offence meant in any way, keep music alive :)
