    Works awesome on my 2010. Totally saved me. Trying to install aftermarket fog lights to existing factory wiring. Thank you!

    Easily done on a 2014 Crewmax. I simply grounded the wire without a switch since it is controlled by the running lights. It is also nice that the running lights turn off with the ignition. That way I can always leave it on and not have to remember to turn it on.

      Aaron Thompson can you help me with mine. I’m not getting this to work for me. If you have pics or a short video that would be great.

      I believe what he done was ground wire from Relay to ground OEM parking light hardness bulb socket. There should two wires be hot and ground. Tie to ground.

  • @JuanPrado1985
    @JuanPrado1985 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So I can just directly ground the relay and have fog lights on every time I turn my regular lights on???? Meaning with out the switch that was installed in the cabin.

    I just bent that pin that he bent added a wire to it like he did and looped it around out of the fuse box right around to the negative battery post. No disrespect to the guy who made the video but he made it more complicated that it needed to be. You dont need an extra switch.

    • @jeremyrayl4770
      @jeremyrayl4770 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joshua Haviland what do you mean you don’t need an extra switch? How’d you do yours? Where’d you run your wire to? I have a 14 CM and would love this mod.

    • @joshuahaviland8025
      @joshuahaviland8025 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jeremyrayl4770 I have a connector off the fog light relay to the negative battery terminal that's it. The fog lights work with my factory headlight switch on the column. Fog lights come on with daytime running lights and dims and brights. You can not turn fog lights off with headlights on but I want them on anyways.

    • @oakfordproductions5963
      @oakfordproductions5963 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joshua Haviland would like to see a few pictures or a short video on how you did it. I’ve tried what other vid’s have shown and have not gotten it to work. Thank you in advance!

  • @palmerlowder

    Can you still turn them off when the any of the lights are on? with the OEM switch on the level attached to the steering column

  • @Jflowboston1
    @Jflowboston1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    just don't forget readers, you are going to work in the GROUND of the fog light relay, not the positive

      If I have an aftermarket switch displaying red, white, and black which wires do I connect the red and white to?

  • @mikesmith-su1pt
    @mikesmith-su1pt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You could have used your existing fog light switch just needed to run a positive input to the relay instead of a negative ground follow me. Preferably a key switch on input

    I need someone to show where to connect red and black wires on the switch. And where to wire red wire with ground. Cause I did exactly like on this video and the fog lights just don’t turn on.

    Ok let me get this correct... Adding or tapping a wired onto the relay which is the ground Pin, and run the wire into the firewall until it show up inside the truck. Which the wire will run to the on/off switch that you add. Than you take the power and the Acc from the factory fog switch and joined those two with the on/off switch. Correct or Wrong.?

  • @rolandtiffany1298
    @rolandtiffany1298 ปีที่แล้ว

    On my 2013 TSS the switch is unnecessary. I get DRL with no fog light when my lights are off, I always have DRL on no matter what cant change it. DRL with fog light when my parking lights are on. Lights and HB fog light is on. I have the switch on it but I have not run it into the car. Its right there in my fuse box left switched on. If I ever wanted to run my headlights without fog lights I can simply open the fuse box and switch them off. The wire goes from the box to the 2 prong switch and then from the switch to the ground

    I know this video is 10 years old and you might not even own the truck anymore, but I have a question!
    When the rocker switch you installed is turned on, do the fog lights only come on when the fog light switch on the stalk is turned on, or do the fog lights come on and stay on for as long as the rocker switch is turned on?

    Rule 226 highway code foglamps not to be used when not foggy out, also clear definition of fog lights is to extend the range of your high beam lamps

    I understand we're working with the ground wire but just let me see if I get this correct you run your wire from the relay back to the firewall into a separate switch to install on the dash then you run another wire from that switch to a ground somewhere or does that second wire have to run to a Pacific location
