It's fun to see them play with clubs (and balls) from over 20 years ago. It is interesting to note how short the course is, compared to the courses they play now. I know the guys are far more athletic now, and launch monitors and coaching has come a long way, but it's clear the advances in club, shaft and ball design account more for the necessity to have 250 yard par 3's, 500 yard par 4's and over 600 par 5's on most pro setups these days. So, the proposal to "roll-back the ball" requires serious consideration.
Hole #10 was a prime example. No one went for the green off the tee despite there being very little wind. Not even Tiger after Zinger put an iron in the fairway (was very surprised by this). Today good players routinely drive it on or around #10, often with a 3 wood for power players.
Europe's grees in a lot these Ryder cups are more benign and thicker and the Europeans have them down. I think places like Medina with firm and fast are the best.
I don’t think I have ever seen a major championship level player with less hip turn on the backswing than Clarke. He has to be phenomenally flexible.
Love watching Tiger back in the day
It’s the best.
Feels like yesterday

Why doesn’t this show Azinger’s 2nd shot to 18? He hit it stone dead!
Strange omission.
Tiger vs team europe. He held his own.
Good to have Darth Vader on commentary...
