Downtown Minneapolis has a skyway system that connects the buildings and is fun to walk around in. This makes it easy to walk in downtown because you don't have to wait for traffic signals.
I love Minneapolis so much I searched videos of it and found my way here. Was a resident of Dinkytown in my college days and SE Minneapolis off university for the last 8 years. I just moved to Apple Valley not even a year ago and I already miss the mpls city life 🥺. Ty for this video for some reminiscing.

Im from a small town of about 20,000 people in southern Minnesota but I got accepted to the UofM so I will be moving to Minneapolis sometime this year and I've never lived a big city before and I'm just so worried about figuring out how to maneuver the city and not get lost.

Maybe this is just because I live in Manhattan, but when I watch these virtual tours I just can't help but think: where the hell is everybody? Do you film these on weekdays, when everyone is at work? Assuming you filmed in September I figured there'd be a few more people in the sidewalks.
Haha I absolutely film these during the work day for most people AND I obviously Covid has affected this a lot! NYC is obviously way busier than here, but I shoot pretty much all of these early morning, because it’s easier!
the lack of people in Minneapolis was a great draw for me! I can't walk down the street for five minutes in Denver without encountering another person. I noticed this in July 2019.
It’s definitely slowed down a bunch after covid, the rioting has not all that much of an impact on downtown as the brunt of that was along Lake Street.

Jesse, one of my favorite tallest building in Minneapolis is IDS Center and it was completed in 1973!
I have a great view of the IDS from my apartment! Such a cool building!

I love our architecture!! From the brownstones to the mills to the downtown skyline, I am a huge fan of how this city looks.
