Mac has a 1 inch wobble I've talked about this pretty sure snap-on does not very interesting on the wobble + extensions they look awesome!! Thanks for a great video!!
GOOD TO SEE ANOTHER GREAT TOOL VIDEO, LOVE SEEING WHAT I AM MISSING THANK YOU HOPE TO SEE MORE. AND COULD YOU SAY HOW THE TOOLS ARE WORKING WITH THEY LOOK OUTSTANDING ???
Thank you. I've been using their 3/8 drive breaker bar, 10x12mm, 14x17mm XL DBE wrenches, and a wide variety of their socketry items for many years. They are outstanding tools.
No connection. It was my original TH-cam account name....a name I've been using in web forums for two decades. Thanks for bringing that to my attention though.
I wish they made Nepros Line in an industrial finish. That chromw gets scratched up in no time under heavy use. A big part if it is America judges tool quality by a hand tools mirror chrome polish.
You're not wrong with that last statement. In general, North American hand tool buyers expect the high polished look....like a prerequisite for a high quality tool. Nepros took it a couple notches up and set the bar high for creating the most mirror-like finish on a hand tool. In comparison to some other brands, cheap/expensive, domestic/imported, I find their chrome to be less prone to scratching.
I like their ratchets but haven’t tried other tools - do you think their sockets are better than Koken zeal? I like the tighter fit of the Koken line. I’ll likely pick up some of their wrenches but not sure if there’s a reason to pick up sockets when I have Koken Zeals. Curious to hear your thoughts
Perhaps you've already experienced this yourself where the tight tolerance of the Zeal sockets can be a bit of an annoyance. If working on older vehicles, vehicles in the rust belt, or just generally crusty fastener from rust or even undercoating, you might be fighting to get that socket to fit the fastener head. I place the Zeal sockets as a specialty socket for this reason and that's why you should consider having a set of standard sockets from your manufacturer of choice.
Interesting details about the wobble extensions. Perhaps they don't brag about the dual balls to keep a lower profile against copycats. Is the incompatibility with other brands of sockets meant to encourage buying their whole line?
Regarding incompatibility, its been most apparent with Ko-ken's Z-series items. I'm talking about having the most reliable connections between sockets/extensions/accessories.
they look to nice, how well do they preform? saw a video on ko-ken ratchet a few months back from mr. Subaru and so I bought a 3/8 dr. yes its good but in my opinion the hazet hp and stahlwille fine tooth ones I bought are better.
They are some kind of an elastomer. I once let a socket sit inside a parts washer, submerged in solvent, and the ring swelled. I don't remember whether it reverted back to its original shape (it was a decade ago)...but yeah, avoid harsh solvents 😄 .
I find my 1/4" wera wobble extension irritating to use because it doesn't stay in the locked setting. I might need to replace it with a nepros extension.
That's interesting. Wera doesn't offer a wobble + type extension; their's are dedicated wobble types. So, despite that, the Wera sockets you're using go into "lock" mode on their wobble only extension?
@@chriscas-ToolAficionado Part 8794A and yes it wobbles and locks in. But I'm going to have to correct my original post because the issue is that it doesn't stay in the locked position. It pops out into the wobble mode too easily.
@@seano51 since I don't own one I'm going by what they mention in their catalog. Looking at the photos again, and since there's no mention of a locking feature, it's no surprise that what you're experiencing seems normal. Wera's 8794A is a standard wobble. Wobble-plus (or Wobble-fix, which Ko-ken invented) has the dual function feature.
Koken has better sockets , better steel and forge/construction , ktc nepros is good and very refined tool and chrome top but if you want the best sockets, indestructible sockets try : Ko-ken from Japan Stahlwille from Germany Momento from Sweden. Nice haul!
I try to buy from them monthly. Love their products.
Now that is a tool company.
You send them a picture of a damaged tool and they then tell you how you broke it!!
They know their product.
Shows they take their products to failure and understands how they should fail.

Kyoto tool co. Is definitely special
Skip to 2:25 if you want to cut out over 2 minutes of him "hand jobbing" the cardboard box. Seriously dude, this isn't your first video FFS!
I see on the home page of your channel it says Super AutoBacs ; does happen to be the one in Garden Grove, OC CA?

Tekton makes a mini extension and in 1/4 dr it is 3/4 inch long or 19mm it is a fixed or straight extension.
Great haul. I just wish Japan was open again so I could there and "buy direct" !
I'm 100% with you on that!!
Oh, the tears when you get the first scratch on one of these...
😂 not at all! These aren't handmade urushi handled ratchets ... they are tools to be used! 👍
Tekton has the shortest extensions that I know of, but they're not available in the wobble plus style.

It's as beautiful as a Japanese sword 😍 It looks like the Nepros socket fits best into the Nepros swing extension, but what about?
In the spirit of Japanese swords making 😁

@@chriscas-ToolAficionado Ah, more of Ko-ken thing than a Nepros thing. That makes sense for Z-series. Thanks for clarifying.

The Nepros 90-tooth ratchet also deserves a look too 😉
@@chriscas-ToolAficionado okay
What’s in the box??!!
Could you review micrometer type torque wrenches from KTC?
Sorry, I don't have one. I can tell you that they source them from the USA, and KTC puts their own ratchet head onto it.
Chris...is the black grip ring on the socket plastic or a rubber-like compound?
They are some kind of an elastomer. I once let a socket sit inside a parts washer, submerged in solvent, and the ring swelled. I don't remember whether it reverted back to its original shape (it was a decade ago)...but yeah, avoid harsh solvents 😄 .
I should also add that if the socket gets filthy with oil or coolant, and it seeps past the grip rings, they effectively become grip-less rings. 😅

Have a good one!
Should have gone with Snap On. Probably wouldn't have broken, but even if it had, would have been a free warranty replacement.
Just out of curiosity I checked the price of a single 27mm from Snap-on.com and it was more than double the cost of a single Nepros 😅
