    I have the 1/2 version of that ratchet, the handle is as thick as the handle my 3 foot Snap-On breaker bar! It’s not only gorgeous, it’s a beast!
    Also have a 17mm socket from Nepros, it has the thinnest wall thickness I’ve ever seen, and a tiny 12 point 12mm crows foot that was essential for removing the lines off of a Subaru steering rack.

    Nepros = man jewelry. I love how substantial the Nepros ratchets feel in the hand.

    I have a set of ko-ken lug nut sockets. Very nice quality. I got mine on amazon. That compact 1/4 wrench with 3/8 drive looks useful.

    I have done the conversion on the thllf72/ tllf72 Snap-on ratchet. the extra long 1/4 drive ratchet come with a different head and will not take the gear and cover plate to change to 3/8 drive. There is two ways to convert the ratchet. 1st you can swap the hole head from a fcf72 witch already has the 3/8 kit in it or 2nd way is you can swap out the head body from a tf72 and then install repair kit RKRFC72 and cover plate FC72-2. If you already have a tf72 ratchet this is the way to go the kits to change it is only $20 ish and you can put the 1/4 drive head back on the tf72 and still have a 1/4 flex head ratchet. If you do the swap with the fcf72 you will end up with a 1/4 drive flex head ratchet Wich is ok but you will not be able to convert 3/8. I used mine as a daily driver and stripped out the gears in a few months. If your interested I did a video on my channel about my thoughts if your interested.

    • @MrSubaru1387
      @MrSubaru1387  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm converting it the third way. And most strong/correct way. What I'm going to do is buy a second TLLF72 and then buy an RKRFC72 ratchet repair kit. Going to have the TLLF72 face plate machined out to the 3/8" drive so I can still retain the rear mounted screws. Snap-on flipped the screw placement and changed the faceplate design for added strength with the extra length handle.

    • @itsatoolthing6323
      @itsatoolthing6323 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrSubaru1387 I like how your think out side the bun on how to convert the ratchet. But the correct way would be not to change to 3/8 drive and have Snap-on make 1/4 sockets up to at least 24mm. I have heard that they changed the design to make it stronger. Think that's a cover story they just didn't want people to convert it to 3/8 drive. The main gear is what failed on mine after just a short time the same gear your gonna put in yours.

      They are. They have the highest standards for clearance tolerances and they don't have the issues that snap on, Mac, and just about any high end tools in the states where the fine tooth rachets flex due to weak screws and thin backing plates.

      I think if you work on Japanese vehicles you learn how well the Japanese make things so start to look at what else they make.
      It is in the Japanese philosophy, they would feel ashamed to produce something that wasn't quality.
      Probable the opposite of China where the whole idea is to make something as low a quality as they can possible get away with.

    Just got a Nepros 1/4 ratchet and spinner, it was really sloppy, about 1-2mm of travel between the anvil and spinner, depending on which detent the ball was engaging. Emailed them a video showing them how bad it was and that it locked on to my Snap on ratchet with no wobble, and they said it was normal for their ratchets... extremely disappointed in the quality.
