Looks as if Bochum will indeed get their first win at the season at Der Alten Försterei, but not on the pitch. Instead they'll probably get the three points rewarded because of that lighter being thrown.
Preußen Münster are my 'German team' as I went on a German Exchange trip to Münster from school in 1976. Preußen were in Bundesliga.2 at the time but have been up and down in the meantime. They were in the Regionalliga a couple of seasons back but 2 promotions and they are back in Div 2 and making a decent fist of it. Good win at the Olympiastadion helps and the Preußen support is impressive for a Friday evening away game in Berlin.
Love that stadium. Went to a game in March ‘24 and the atmosphere was amazing, despite not being completely full. Just the intro, music, lights, the ultras - brilliant. They are my German club now.
Englishman who’s been following Hertha since 2015 (friends and a lot of people still dont understand why!). Stumbled across your channel whilst catchup in on the days bundesliga highlights. Really was wanting to forget this result though! Sums up how the league is this season, unpredictable. Got yourself a new subscriber, keep it up 🙌💙🤍
Funnily enough, Hertha were my path into German football too. It all started in Poznan in Poland, when I saw a Lech Poznan match, and their star player at the time Piotr Reiss, I had kept an eye on Lech Poznan, and saw that Reiss has moved to Germany, to Hertha BSC. It was through that that I found out about German football. Many years later, Union get promoted to the Bundesliga, and an article is written on the BBC about the first Bundesliga derby between the Berlin clubs of Hertha and Union. From then on, I become quite interested in Union to the point that I am now a fully paid up member. the rest as they say, is history. UNVEU.
Die 2. Liga is just so unpredictable this season. It'll probably take less points to go up, which means that even on the last day a handful of clubs could still be in with a shout.
You wouldnt believe it, but the crowds are higher now in the Zweite Bundesliga, as they were when Hertha struggled in the Bundesliga. Trouble is the fans are being treated to loss after loss. The way things are going they will never make it back to the top tier. Friend of mine who always had a season ticket, has now decided to go and watch the Eisbären play ice hockey. Great video though, but the fans deserve better
Going to Hertha vs Nurnberg in Feb. Looked at tickets for this one the other day to see how full it gets, and it looks fuller than the number of tickets for sale - is that right? Great video as always! HaHoHe!
im watching you since 3 months , youre amazing european viking - big respect for you - perfect therapy to lost the rest of my negative stereotyps about english people. Thank you so much ! 🥰🥰🥰
To be able to see a game at the Olympia Stadion is a bucket list item even if you sit far away from the pitch who cares just enjoy the experience and with a few pints and you can't go wrong.
1:46 'I got the Preußen I got the remedy...' :D Thank you very much for another brilliant video, Ry. I think Hertha BSC's Ostkurve is really underrated in Germany and I'm getting goosebumps everytime the anthem 'Nur nach Hause' gets played and sung in full swing by the Ostkurve before their home matches and thousands of scarves are going up, even though I'm quite indifferent when it comes to Hertha BSC as a club. In German, this is called a 'Schalparade' which would translate to a 'parade of scarves'. As to Preußen Münster, I've seen them countless times with Wuppertal back in the 90s and a few years ago in the 4th tier. Their away supporters weren't always that numerous and impressive in the lower tiers, but that probably applies to every football club not even being part of the 2. Bundesliga for decades. Except the traditional East German clubs, but that's still a whole different football culture even 34 years after reunification. You will probably experience this tomorrow in Cottbus vs Hansa Rostock. And a few hours later, I think you will get an idea of why the Red Bull franchise of Leipzig has absolutely nothing to do with this East German football culture, has never been a part of it and never will be. P.S. This "Rude Boys' banner of Preußen Münster in green and black is at least 30 years old. I remember seeing it in the 90s everytime there was a match vs Preußen Münster. This banner already existed a few years before most ultra groups in Germany were founded who eventually took over to coordinate the support of most German clubs from the early 2000s on.
Nice Video nice you seeing your friend of münster, was there great Atmosphere, WE were really loud, but it would have been nice If you showed more of the Atmosphere
Top video, Hertha are my ‘Bochum’. Went to watch them play at the Oly years ago and fell in love with the club/atmosphere. Not been a great season for West Ham or Hertha though so far lol
This is the right choice that you have taken our VFL Bochum! Congratulation for that this Choice you have taken is the same which i have taken for many Years and i would never change , no matter what it takes (; sorry for my Englisch i know it´s not the best but i hope you know what i mean(; Greetings from a VFL Bochum Fan

@RysFootyParadise when I was a kid it was not avaliable here (in Poland). Now I have ordered it and waiting for delivery. It is going to be a good Christmas time 😍
Watching Hertha should come with a health warning. You have no idea what these fans have gone through for many years now, on and and very much off the field.

Hallo mate! As much as the Ostkurve looks AMAZING - out of respect - I chose not to go in there because of filming the TH-cam video 💙 Thank you for the offer though and I will be in Block A, B or C in the Südtribune in Jan vs St. Pauli und RB Leipzig but will come to the Ritterburg before for Fiege 😁🍻🍻🍻 Glück auf
Great video. It's a shame you were at a game where we were so bad... 🙃😂These are difficult times for us. Next time you have to try the doner kebab in the stadium 😉 HaHoHe💙🤍
Just sinking my first beer as I’m about to make my way to the Försterei for Union v VfL 💙 COME ON BOCHUM
Any chance you'll be at Bochum v Heidenheim? It'll be my first time there
You made the video Manchester city Vs Manchester United tomorrow?
Looks as if Bochum will indeed get their first win at the season at Der Alten Försterei, but not on the pitch. Instead they'll probably get the three points rewarded because of that lighter being thrown.
@@WhiteHartDane is there any precedent for that happening in the past? I've only ever seen a fine issued to the club for things like that.
Good timing to be there for a historical “lighter” moment. Ace mate!
That entrance and walk-in at 4:50 was pretty cool! Liked that you just showed it without commentary!
sometimes I talk too much - it's nice to let the action do the talking :)

That’s it, iconic 🤩
i would recommend a visit to KSC in Karlsruhe next they share a fan friendship with hertha and have some very good supporters
karlsruhe is also currently second in 2. Bundesliga so they might make it this season
A great club, definitely worth a visit 🤩

Great to hear, I fell in love with West Ham back when they were still at the Boleyn Ground. Hoping for better times for both our teams 😅
@@_Hertha1892BSC_ Let’s hope so mate! ⚒️🔵⚪️
Beautiful surroundings with the old diving arena and the huge one for parades just next to that 🔥

Hey Mate, it's really time to go to the south of Germany 😂😂😂
I know haha - I will be at Frankfurt v Dortmund in January and München in March so have to fit Nürnberg, Kaiserslautern, Stuttgart etc in between maybe Feb 👍🏽
BSE. Takes me back. Who topped the medal table at that Olympics?
Intro with a beer bottle in hand, you're getting more German by the second lol
🤣🍻

Münster staying in 2 liga
I do hope so!!!!😊
@@anhalter1572 🤞🤞No big defeats and one or two promising results of late.

I see you often in a Subbuteo hoodie. I wonder. Do you, or maybe did you play the game?
As a young kid 😅 Mitre who made that, sent it out to me for free, so I’ve gotta show them love ❤️ did you play it?
@RysFootyParadise when I was a kid it was not avaliable here (in Poland). Now I have ordered it and waiting for delivery. It is going to be a good Christmas time 😍
HAHOHE HERTHA BSC🎉
Watching Hertha should come with a health warning. You have no idea what these fans have gone through for many years now, on and and very much off the field.
The 2. Bundesliga seems to be the home of “fallen giants” 💙
Hertha fans know how to endure suffering :O

Sehe ja jetzt erst das da noch voll viele Münsteraner zwischen den heimfans saßen
I’m surprised - in England security would not allow to mix fans
10:20 marker for myself
Love your videos! But if Fiege is your default, you should be banned from judging German beer at all! lol
heyyyy don't be talking bad about our Fiege 🤣💙 tief im Westennnn
Any ground with a running track around it is a terrible ground!
For football yeah it’s not ideal, but visually the Olympiastadion is beautiful
Why didnt u Show the Ritual from us at the beginning were the whole ostkurve is jumping? Thats a shame Because thats one of THE things from us
Because I drank too much Berliner 😬🍻🍻
that was a very dull game. shit happens
I feel like you’re bad luck for Berlin clubs 😂. Und niemals vergessen…Berlin ist Rot 🔴
Maybe 🤣👍🏾
As a neutral, Berlin is 🔴⚪️
Wenn du neutral wärst, wüsstest du das Union Köpenick ist, der Rest von Berlin Hertha
😂😂😂
Good Joke🤣
Win or loose…Berlin is 💙🤍
