I'm new to video podcasting. When using the Riverside app to record your video podcast are you able to use XLR mics? I'll be shooting the video on either my iPhone 15 Pro Max or on a Zoom Q8N 4K camera.
Maybe I missed it but can I create my video in Riverside and export ONLY the audio directly to SPOTIFY, or do I have to download the audio on to my computer and then upload to SPOTIFY? Thank you …
You can send your audio-only exports directly to Spotify! Once the edit has finished exporting, click into it in your Riverside dashboard and then you'll see the one-click to Spotify button.
Still waiting for Video programmatic ads! As a podcast that generates revenue from ads on our audio version, we need this in order to transition to video on Spotify!
You have to have an audio podcast hosted elsewhere to use this particular feature, but if you want to do video specifically you can host your show with Spotify for Podcasters and just do video!
Does this mean that I can host a video podcast on Spotify AND other platforms now? If I'm remembering correctly, Spotify's exclusivity rule on video episodes was if you're hosted by them. So now that they're rolling out the video option for outside hosts would this bypass that rule?
Yes! You can host your audio podcast on Buzzsprout, transistor, etc., and then upload the video associated with that episode in the Spotify for Podcasters dashboard, even if the show is not hosted on Spotify.
Can you give me an idea of which things are included in the "free" version and which things tip you over into the paid Riverside accounts? So if I want to use the shorts clips on TH-cam, that's free, but the full version? And things like show notes? Thanks!
You can download the full video episode by exporting through the editor and then upload to your TH-cam channel with the free plan! Ai Show Notes, Set Pace and other features like that are on paid tiers. You can see the full breakdown here! riverside.fm/pricing

You can! A USB-C audio interface for XLR mics can connect to an iPhone 15 and newer or an iPad with USB-C

We'll let the Spotify team know you're looking for that feature specifically!
Do I have to add audio to use the video feature??

I don’t have the “upload video” option yet. Do you know when this will be rolled out to everyone?
I believe it's a slow rollout to all creators, but it should be there in the coming weeks!

Is it possible to add songs from the Spotify library?
Not at the moment, but we're working on a royalty-free audio library to use very soon!
Awesome
Appreciate it!
