High probability the same thing happens with Giovanni Manu, which would be disappointing especially because Holmes is pretty darn good at drafting. No one would complain if Holmes wasn't showing them up. But all this "future draft capital" stuff is for fanboys who want to cream themselves about picks that haven't happened. GMs deal with real issues of ability, chemistry and cost. Because of Holmes, the Lions don't always have to sweeten trades with extra picks. Teams will give US picks to get our excess talent.

No one would complain if Holmes wasn't showing them up. But all this "future draft capital" stuff is for fanboys who want to cream themselves about picks that haven't happened. GMs deal with real issues of ability, chemistry and cost. Because of Holmes, the Lions don't always have to sweeten trades with extra picks. Teams will give US picks to get our excess talent.
