I read his whole comment and I get it. Not saying I'd be able to jump in ice for my pets, but I do think she's a hero, too. You either get what animals bring... or you don't. No value judgment here - just how it is.
PS My friend's Akita saved his life 30 years ago when he fell on a trail with a badly broken leg. Went miles for help.

Mandy is my half sister and im not surprised she went in to save her dog. so did my brother in law. it must not have looked dangerous and both are in good physical condition. mandy was a strong willed, strong hearted and strong person. pray for her husband. good good man.
@@avi8trixdoesn’t matter. Once you are in that water, your body seizes up and hypothermia sets in quickly. Now she has left her sons without a mother and a husband without a wife, all for a mere dog that would have been dead within a few years

@@j.y.3604 Well the husband said he saw the wife moving under the ice with the current. This sounds suspicious to me. If the dog falls the ice was not very thick . But the husband is standing over the ice when the wife body moves underneath with the currents. What is it , thick ice or thing ice? The dog and the wife falls into but him that is looking at the wife from above not. This contradicts himself.
Too many times the owner drowns and the dog ends up surviving. As much as I love "Old Yeller" I'm going to have to wait it out and, if the worst happens, I'll get another dog. If you're single and have no person dependent on you then go for it. I always try to avoid situations like this for the safety of everyone.
To some of us, a dog is not just a pet, but a family member too. I pray for healing for all those affected by this tragedy.
@@juzziegdogs aren’t human tho. By jumping in like that she left her kids without a mother and a husband without a wife. The dog would have been dead within a few years anyway. But this lady had 4 kids who loved her and needed her and threw it all away.
