I was decorating my tree and started with ribbon, and my husband literally looked at me and said “what the heck are you doing that looks awful” 💀 gotta trust the process!! He loved it in the end 🤣
Thank you for saying you don't have to compare yourself to you tubers...I found myself doing that and felt bad I couldn't afford to buy any new decor this year. Redoing my old decor.
I'm doing diy this year all dollar tree. If I got bored I can donate it after Christmas at least I don't spent too much money.

I love what you said about comparison. I naturally love to decorate our home. And watching TH-cam, I can feel intimidated. But as I strolled through Hobby Lobby yesterday, that thought came to mind. I carefully shop, only buying what's true to me. You're the only video I came across that said this. Enjoy your decor everyone. It's beautiful when it's "true to you".

I appreciate you saying that we should not be comparing. I have really been struggling with finding the space to keep all these decorations. My husband has finally put his foot down (he lets me do whatever I want) and will not agree with me changing themes every year. I have taken over his only space in the house, the garage.

I'm using those colors on my flocked pencil tree on Thanksgiving after dinner. I already have 2 trees up.
I did buy things last year because i went full Farmhouse so I needed to and I have a little decor shop so I buy. i also like to make much of my Savior so i try to go all out bigger and better every year within financial reason. No Santas....... but I love the little trees and snowmen and houses and churches and wreaths and garlands! So fun!

I just have to say you’re like one of my favorite decorators! I feel like I relate to you so much! How are you tell people not to compare themselves to TH-cam, and how sometimes you feel like you compare yourself at times and how you wish you had the big beautiful homes like other people. I’m guilty of doing that to myself at times. I’ve always been huge into decorating for every season. But at times I find myself comparing myself to others thinking my house is not good enough. Thank you for your authenticity! And I think your house turned out absolutely gorgeous!
