Those memories will stay in my heart, right next to the memory of you!! I've recently had one of my posts in "HIGHLIGHTED COMMENT TODAY"!! I as AMAZED that it was highlighted! I wrote in after watching a video with you and your daughter, Ruby, singing "Forever Young", which was yet another of your songs, that are in my heart, as so many others are!! But that song, in particular, I dedicated to my daughter, Darcey, and my nephew, Bryan, who is like a son to me; along with his first child and made me a great aunt, Isaiah!! (In the dedication text, I just wrote .. ....and my great nephew, Isaiah.) Somehow, his name wasn't in the highlighted comment; possibly for room's sake? Nevertheless, those were the exact words I felt, but could never put into words. BUT YOU DID!! AND SO PERFECTLY; as millions of other fans I'm sure will agree!! And performing it with your daughter, was so very heartwarming!! I hope "all my children" will hold that song , so very precious, in their loving hearts, as I have held it in mine, and always will!! You are a loving, caring dad, family rocker, and I LOVE THE WAY YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN!! There are so many of your songs, "Rod the Mod" (I'll never forget that nickname, with all due respect, Sir!!) that have "hit home" for me; as if they were written JUST FOR ME throughout the YEARS!! While you don't jump from amplifier to amplifier anymore, YOU, the person - and performer - have amazed and thrilled me throughout the years. And your and Penny's concerns about charities you believe in and support; have surpassed all expectations anyone could ever hope for!! (I'm gonna hit you up for a HUGE FAVOR, SIR ROD, AND AM TRYING DESPARATELY to get that favor to you ....it's a whopper !!) Two more things: I'm living with somewhat of a "death sentence" with stage 4 lung cancer, hanging above my head. And yes, there IS A GOD, I'M CONVINCED!! that's been dormant for 9 & 1/2 YEARS!! Piers says he is Scottish. Well ok hid Dad was Scottish and moved to England. Rod had an English mother, was born in England and grew up in England...so he's at least 50% English ;)
