Some thoughts. LD was a temperamental player for sure, Li Mao also seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder. Back in those days, Korea was notorious for bad line calls and cheating, and without Hawkeye, there's nothing you can do about it.
At the end of the day, Lin Dan is the GOAT. Who are Li Mao and Lee Hyun Il? They're bums compared to LD.

May be the rules were little forgiving during those days. That would have been a Red card now. These days, the players get yellow cards just for walking around the court for too long. Or asking to towel down frequently 😂
Yeah definitely...but I think yellow card was given because it was also a bit wrong by Li mao as well....and score was also 22-21
