Hi, thanks for the video. It is so good that you use different color strips. it makes it easier to understand. your last project was awesome. haven't seen it before. I got motivated to try other combinations too. BTW your logo is really neat, and it might be fun for students to make it using origami. do you have the instructions for the model? well done and thanks
I think the best visual is Transparent duct tape because you get to see orientation better. Topology doesn’t really care about cutting the mobius strip in 2 because that depends on how it is represented and embedded in our space. Not a topological property
So can you model cutting a Möbius strip twice down the middle? so the first time I did it I get the strip with 4 twist the same as you but when I cut it a second time it looks like I get 2 strips with 4 twists linked together....
if you bisect a strip with an even number of twists you get two loops, each with that same number of twists. So a loop with 2 twists splits into two loops, each with 2 twists, and so on.If the number of twists n is odd, you get one loop with 2n + 2 twists. Checking this against the case we already know, this formula does indeed give us the right result - a strip with 1 twist becomes a loop with 2+2 = 4 twists.
@@SoCalStyles Thank you for the generalisation. The model is (sadly?) too simple to distinguish zero twist and any other strip with even number of twist.
I think the time travel factor is not specific to the mathematics of mobius strip.. except that the 1 directional continuum of time is only symbolically represented with a mobius strip.... ie the problem Banner was talking about that you can't go back in time to kill baby thanos and expect thanos to have cease to exist.
Have now subscribed to your channel. Would really love to see the math behind a Klein bottle. Also, if possible, how a mathematical formula//function can create a Mandelbrot image. Especially the gradients of colors. Just thought that I would present you with this query/challenge. If this task is too complex for your level of expertise, would you be so kind as to link me to a plausible demonstration. RSVP. Thank you. Read less
This is the best explanation I've seen so far. Great video!
Thank you

Very useful man

I replied to my own comment with an answer I found somewhere else.
Can u please tell me, under which branch of mathematics does this come ?
Please 🙏🙏
How many sides does a simple 1/2 twist Mobius have ?
A Möbius strip by its nature only has one side and one edge.
I'm here to understand LOOΠ∆ Theories better.
Anyways stan LOOΠ∆
That cool
Ok ok but tell something about time travel. #Endgame

They used its shape for time travel so they used its shape and property nothing more than that

Hi sir, please do make more videos! Your last one is 1 year old :(
Who's here because of Avengers Endgame?
Why do you ask that?😂
