Drill pilot holes? Can you please explain in depth how that's done? Surely the screw is only holding on to a thin bit of plastic then? So all the weight of the door on a thin bit of plastic? So crack and snap goes the window? Please explain. I need to replace mine too
When I replaced mine, I used a longer hinge so I needed to have the holes in different place than the original holes. I just lined up the hinge and then drilled a small hole. Much smaller than screw so the thread still has enough material to hold on to, otherwise it can be quite hard to screw directly into the pvc plastic
