As usual thanks for more TARJAWISH !!!!!
You two with drumsticks reminded me that TARJA'S daughter little Naomi has
recently been insisting that some day she is going to be her mommy's drummer !!!!!!!

one of the best songs on Angels Fall First - an early masterpiece. Imlike the variation in the instrumentation. There also is a remake from 2001 with Tony Kakko on the vocals.

from this album all songs that are to come now have never been performed live by the band as far as I know. With Oceanborn it gets a little bit better, and I love all the remastered work by Nightwish Arena's channel! and yes I think Tarja recorded multiple vocal layers for a lot of songs, harmonising with herself.
the songs on this album are a bit like raw diamonds, not quite polished but you can tell there's potential. :D

I think Tuomas has got a very soft and sweet voice 😊. I like it... He also sings in a song on the Auri album "Those we don´t speak of" (2020). Finally he did it again 😁! The song is called "Fireside bard". His voice is a lot deeper than in 1997 and very warm and gentle.

The live versions are excellent, but so are the studio versions. In musical terms, the studio versions are richer in elements, as it is not possible to reproduce live in good quality everything that was recorded. There are even songs that don't sound so good live, like "Beauty Of The Beast", for example. This is a song from the Century Child album.

with Beauty of the Beast I'm always hoping people do both - the studio version because it is out of this world beautiful and complex, and the live Amsterdam 2002 version because actually seeing the band perform this masterpiece and the emotions they bring to it is something else all together. 🤲🏽❣I wouldn't want to miss one or the other in my live for vastly different reasons. This song is *such* a masterpiece.

Beauty of the Beast doesn't sound good live, becasue there's no good live recording of it, only a poorly mixed live steream with 2002 compression levels. I'm sure it sounded stunning if you were there. But yeah, I listen mostly to the CD tracks, it's the "purest" way to hear the songs, the way they were intended to sound. Live is great for the performance aspect, but to me never the "definitive" version of a song, except in rare cases.

The bass here is not played by Sami. He wasn't in the band yet. Empu played the guitars and the bass
