17:38 i wish there was a hack version of this video bc i am making a similar table but dont have the tools, means or space to do all of this proper joinery. Beautiful piece
I do the same thing .I tinker around in the garage with wood and makes stuff. After I'm done I popped the top on my Dos Equis And screw the bottle cap somewhere out of view of course 🤣
Nice work and a good video! Now after almost a year do you know how the table has aged? Since there's wood under the tiles and grout, is there any bending that would make the hardened grout crack?
Thanks! I checked in with the client today, and everything is good. No cracks in the grout. I did lay the tile on "seasoned" 3/4 plywood, so pretty stable. I consulted a professional tile setter before doing this, and they assured me it would work. Happily, it has.
It is awesome, I've had it for about 20 years. It's a Trojan MS-2000. I think higher-end lumber yard/ hardware stores can order them, I tried to find an easy link for you. The downside, which is only 1, is the saw in permanently mounted, so lifting it to the back of the truck is a little challenge, and then it sits too high to put my tonneau cover over the bed. Would I buy it again? YES I would. Check out my fence building video to see it in the field. th-cam.com/video/Z0vnM6YH3rs/w-d-xo.html
@@oregonmakers2000 thank you so much for responding. I recently picked up a new stand for job site, but in the shop the legs stick out to far. I'm going to do more searching/shopping. Thank you again for the info on it.
I used "SimpleFix Pre-Mixed Adhesive & Grout" www.amazon.com/CUSTOM-PRODUCTS-TAGWQT-Premixed-Bright/dp/B00176ISGE/ref=sr_1_3?crid=125NGUJ63U208&keywords=010186771625&qid=1669928331&sprefix=010186771625%2Caps%2C165&sr=8-3 I put it on cabinet grade 3/4" plywood. I talked to a professional tile setter and this was his recommendation for what I did. So far this has held up well and been through the 4 seasons in Eastern Washington. What a gorgeous project!
Sick work brother 😎🫵
Thank you!
Really fun to deliver this table to the customer and see how she reacted to see her tiles come to life on the tables. :)
Right?!
Beautiful, well done. Watching this gave me so many ideas. Thank you for posting.
Thank you. Hopefully enough inspiration to make something. Tag us if you post pictures, love to see what you come up with.

I know this video was made a year or so ago.
I noticed your miter saw stand...
Do you like it?
And where did you get it?

Hi what's the name of the thinset you used? Does it act good on wood over time?
