What an interesting way to learn a little more about history in a song! Reminds of the Carol sung at Christmas time! The painting well illustrates the tune rather well too. I am on a fixed income, but will see what the future brings to perhaps support some of the things I enjoy. Keep up the good work!

@@boombox3136 Nein schon viel viel früher: Choix de cantiques sur des airs nouveaux (1842) ist die älteste schriftliche Quelle von "Gloria in excelsis Deo".
