I will never forget walking out of line. They called me weak and all kinds of other names. I replied, "No, I'm the strong one. The weak links are the girls staying and allowing you all to humiliate them." I'm so glad I didn't complete the process. There's a reason for my big attitude. If you scream at me, I scream back. I always looked at sororities as a sisterhood. I quickly learned it wasn't. That was in 1996.

You were in an abusive Chapter - and your treatment was unethical and not in compliance of any Greeks initiation. Hazing and violence is NOT allowed - although many Chapters ignore that! Sorry you had such a unwelcoming and negative experience.!

All of this sounds wild!!! Imagine dropping your precious daughter off at college and she's getting groomed into strange cars, dirt roads, getting beat up, humiliated, degraded, risk death. All to be a part of a group. Seems like pimping!

I loved this story. I denounced DST April 2nd, 2023 (ironically on the line I was on 14th anniversary). I looked up 14 biblicallly and it said deliverance and salvation 🙌🏽. This is not a knock on her story just a message. A lot of people harp on the pledging process and say “ oh I didn’t go through all of that” this is so much deeper than that. The origins of the D-9 has occult ties. The rituals, the covenant, the chants, all directly contradict the word of GOD. I was blind and a church member nonchalantly said to me, you know that is not of GOD when I told her I was Delta, but I did not want to believe her. Another church member prayed that I would come out of delta, but I never told her I was in delta, and I haven’t worn paraphernalia since college. She saw it in the spirit. I also was always distant of other members and did not participate much after college. It all made since after I decided to stop wrestling with what the Lord was telling me. I was groomed into it as a child, but I am grateful that GOD’s grace is sufficient.

Just a few reasons these associations will not be disbanded: many people draw validation from it; use its hierarchy as a social control mechanism, and network for career upward mobility.

@Switch Ur Notions, What I noticed is that, people on these reality tv shows, are members of frats and sororities, and even they, are used, by the networks, to push a certain political agenda. As well, local news casters, are members. They're everywhere. Wouldn't be surprised if they work in H.R. depts...

I participated in a DST cotillion during high school & had plans of pledging when I got to college. I saw so much going on with others (physical abuse, verbal abuse, mental abuse, & listening to a young lady cry about being raped by one of the upper class frat brothers). I decided that I could never do it because I simply can't tolerate any level of abuse. I am glad you ladies are truly rising. I pray that people can hear the heart of this share & always choose self love over fake connections. Love & peace 😇

This is so great. I've been watching these videos for some time. The Greek life runs heavy in my family. My grandmom was a Delta, my dad a Kappa, a bunch of AKAs. I always wanted to pledge Delta in college and I had perfect grades, community service, and all but I was a big nerd and never felt "Black enough". I didn't make line and I was depressed for a few months. I ended up studying abroad and living abroad in my 20s and even when I came back to the states I pursued the graduate chapter in my city and didn't make it again. But the second time I felt at peace. I actually had a dream after I did my interview that I wasn't going to be accepted before I got the email. Maybe it was God. Thanks for these videos because they dispel so many things that people spend their lives seeking acceptance. I've learned to accept my nerdiness and quirkiness. I learned that these orgs don't define what Blackness is. I also wondered if those Greek affiliations in my family led to a lot of mental illness and trauma. I have never met many "sane" people in those orgs.

Wow! All I could think about when they say the work Greek was all the crazy stuff you study in school about Greeks. My dtr hated studying it. I never really thought about how crazy it was until she came home mad that she had to study it. You mention mental illness & trauma. This kind of thing opens you up to demon spirits. Lord, give us the spirit of discernment. We need it in this hour.

    • @lgunn87

@@ronaprescott4007 Yup, I am one of the lone non-Greeks in my family. Most of my aunts and some cousins were Delta and I had an aunt who was high up in AKA a long time ago. I always thought that was the path but those rejections were a way to see that they were not of God. Evolution is hard, I think ultimately we need to question why we revere these orgs and what it means to the "Black" community. Maybe it's time to let it all go.

There is so much I can say here. Well, first, I want to say thank you for continuing this series. Each time I watch a denouncement video, instantly I think about my mother and two of my closest friends. But the one thing that stands out to me more than anything is how much this process resembles an abusive relationship. Why do grown women (especially pertaining to the experience that was shared at the end after a year of membership) delight in or find it appropriate to BEAT other women? Why would licks be associated with "jewels?" Everything shared aligns so much with the language used when one is in a toxic relationship and yet in the end this "trauma bond" links one to the sisterhood. It breaks my heart to know that relatives and friends participated in these activities when I know that outside of this world, they would not approve of doing this to get a job, join a church, become someone's friend. Honestly, it sounds like the same thing people have to do to join a gang. It just makes me wonder how anyone can say this process and these entities are based on Christian "principles." My God, Today!!!
I have a cousin who has Lupus and other health impairments and she is a senior in college right now wanting to pledge Delta. She will not listen to her mother who has told her to let this desire go. Please pray for her. She wants to pledge so badly. It is daunting.
Help us all, Father, for we have all fallen short of Your GLORY. Let us not continue to call that which is not of you as yours. Let us not continue to disrespect you with our lifestyles, our words, and our egocentric hearts. Let us honor you as LORD of our lives henceforth and forever more.🙏

My heart is broken because I talked to her about this life but she has wanted to do Delta for so long that I think she ignored the obvious. I’m sad for her and my other friends as well who criticize and judge me. I hate that they don’t see what’s happening. I’ll be doing a follow up video of my life since then. I love this video!!!!
I grew up around the culture of Sororities and Fraternities where it is considered an honor. I was groomed and recruited by a family member from the age of 11-17. My family member was a member of AKA and had created a high school sorority. From the moment I was 11-13 the family member would reach out and try to prepare me and get me excited about joining soon as I went to high school. Soon as I made it into high school I was quickly initiated in through rituals, chanting a, singings , attire, hazing, and burnings of candles 🕯 even at that early age. My family was brain washed by the culture and thinking it would be a great opportunity for young teens to learn morals, keep grades up, and be successful.
In reality, everything that I thought it was it was totally not. We were not taught how to have good morals, how to carry ourselves like respectful young ladies, and etc.
When I went to college, I was going to join AKA and God protected me from this. I am soo happy that I didn’t. Thank you both for being obedient!!!
I have burned my old sorority jacket and items and have renounced that pledge even though it was a little high school sorority.

Thank you ladies for being obident and talking about this issue. I too wanted to pledge Delta so bad. I went to Savannah state my freshman year , I couldn’t do it then because I had to be a sophomore. Sophomore year came, they were suspended 51:30 for hazing (sign number 1). I ended up transferring to another school but all of the deltas that were left graduated. Fast forward not even 3 months after I graduated undergrad, they came out with a line. I literally asked God out loud and ask him “Why wouldn’t you let me pledge?” And was led to a denouncement video and fell into a rabbit hole. I’m so thankful for Gods protection. I pray more of my brothers & sisters in Christ will take heed to the truth.

That whole part about not remembering your process after coming out. Funny story is I pretty much can remember the underground stuff and set but I couldn’t remember ANY of the actual rituals we did in crossing. When I denounced delta, it all came flooding back in. It was like the scales LITERALLY fell from my eyes and the Holy Spirit began showing me what really happened. When sharing my testimony with people, I tell them all the time had anyone walked in and seen people in a CHURCH of all places wearing all black with an alter set at the front and people behind said alter in red robes and young women kneeling in all white it LITERALLY screams witchcraft! I was sick afterwards. But thank the Lord for deliverance! Amazing testimony! Praying that more will begin to have their eyes opened and come out.

When people become angry and or defensive when told about others denouncing, that’s simply the stronghold on their lives manifesting. Thou shall have NO other Gods before me-even Greek ones! Praise YAH for him convicting me and removing me from my organization. Ironically, it was a video from a another young lady who denounced Delta that really sealed the deal for me. She posed this question: “If being in a sorority is about scholarship, community service, and other “great things” then why do you have to take an oath, be beaten, dehumanized, etc. just to do those things? That provoked a lot of thought and sent me on a journey to investigate the origins of the organization. I packed up everything I had and reached out to denounce in silence. The truth needs no consultation.

I really appreciate this video, love the transparency, the introspection and the connection to the Holy Spirit and the wisdom He gave you both to share with us.
I actually considered pledging a major Greek Sorority but decided against it. I could never conflate nor make sense of somebody beating my behind, humiliating and abusing me - only to turn around and now say I love you and we're Sisters at the end of the pledge period!😳🤔😑
I considered Grad chapter because I was told it was a little better where that was concerned but I never had peace with it and your testimony here is everything explained!!! I have multiple Greeks in my family - Deltas, AKA's, Alphas, Kappas and Omegas. I have seen one family member so dedicated to the Greek organization they are a member of, it eventually cost them their marriage.
I believe more people will be coming out of the Greek lifestyle as God continues to reveal more truth behind the scenes and uses His people to pull the scales off the eyes of His people and destroy the yokes of bondage through their deliverance and testimony. We just have to love each other through whatever paths our lives take us.💜
Go forward Sisters and may God continue to bless You, strengthen you and widen your territory!!!! Much love💯🙏🏽💜

All the modules 4 she had to do. So she had a very smooth transition into Sigma Gamma Rho. If she had gone through what you and other girls have gone through it'd be HELL to pay. Hi former Sorors. My story is very similar. My mom and aunts are all AKAs but when I got to campus the Deltas had the highest G.P.A.s and held all the leadership positions at school. I was cool with a lot of them and fell in love with the organization when I researched it. I crossed at Clark Atlanta (Sigma chapter) and my experience was very similar to Tia’s. I’ve always said BLGOs should never “pre-pledge” anyone you wouldn’t vote on if rush was that day, it’s too much of a liability and it’s only done so people can go on power trips. And I am NOT a fan of physical stuff! We ran into the Sigmas (Chi Chapter) at Morehouse the night before we crossed too!
I’m not ready to denounce the entire organization but I do understand some of the frustrations with the process and unsisterly things that can happen. A couple of my neos denounced within the past few years, but they’re still my sisters. I’m still trying to glorify God in everything that I do, including when I’m doing work in my now alumnae chapter. I also try to check myself to make sure I don’t make an idol out of Delta and spend more time working for it and not in prayer with God. Just continue to pray for me and my walk with the Lord. I’m working on my Christian TH-cam channel now! It’s called “The Gospel According to A”.

Your testimony is building. It is very important to recognize that on initiation night you came into covenant with a false god. The dark room, the robes (if applicable) the kneeling down at an altar full of the founders pictures and welcoming Minerva with your love and dedication beyond the grave ia not to be messed with. The initiation night looks a lot like what happens in witchcraft and other satanic groups while Doing rituals. Burning of the candles and one by one having to say that you agree ia how the enemy comes into your life and ia allowed to run free. Remember we cannot serve two masters even if while serving one (delta, aka or whatever) we say to ourselves that Jesus Christ ia Lord. You have to break the bond and covenant by writing a letter to your org certified and requesting out of the membership ‘. You need to denounce and renounce on paper and tell everyone you know. You know want little girls following you into witchcraft. It doesn’t stop there. Every chapter meeting you are saying the rituals again to make sure that you allow the enemy to reign in your life you’ve opened a door but Jesus Christ can slam it close and make you free. Before doing all of this you need to repent to Jesus Christ because many people feel weird the initiation night (although getting beat up or verbally abused for weeks didn’t feel right either) yet, you continued. This is why many people drop the line. God will reign fully in your life but ask Him to show you for real. These women don’t even want to be referred to as former soros, they want to show how Christ made them new creations in Him.
Please also check out out from among them ministries. They are here on TH-cam and people share how this is the first level type of entry into witchcraft. You did not stumble upon this awesome video to tell someone else congrats on leaving. You should leave as well and with the quickness. Let The Lord find us all without a spot or blemish upon His return. God bless you and I will start praying that you have the veil lifted very soon. You will be the leader of your line as the first to step
Out of it and many will follow you.

@@equallyyoked1Your comment was beautifully shared. I often wonder how believers attend these meetings and repeatedly speak the chants, sing the songs, and say the prayers without conviction. My mother is 74 and went to a chapter meeting after not going for so many years. She said they kept talking about Minerva and the Minerva Circle and she leaned over to one of her sorors who is also one of her best friends from childhood and said, "Now, I don't know if I am going to be able to deal with this Minerva. Minerva and Jesus don't mix." It was so funny to me bc although she has all this paraphernalia and suitcases with the letters and/or the shield on them, she had forgotten about Minerva. But, she still has not denounced it. That is why I appreciate you breaking that down. Perhaps, it will ring a bell with others who stay in and fight what God is compelling them to do.💖

I was on a long line and only two of the "sisters" still speak to me. The rest I found out recently were talking behind my back and none reach out. I wasn't surprised because we honestly weren't so close but it hurts. I know God has a plan for me and I'm glad I got out sooner than later but I've never felt more alone on this planet. This should be done away, and a law set against sororities/fraternities the intentions of it all may be good, but there are evil agendas behind the scene it's disruptive to your education, and to me a trap set by the enemy himself to destroy purpose and destiny. We hear about all this craziness in the news about people losing their very lives pledging. What is the purpose when you can not even focus on school, and then possibly fall into depression, or even worst PTSD? I don't understand fully what's involved in being apart of these organizations, but the price you pay seems to me outweighs the benefits when you get emotionally, and spiritually tore up from the floor up from the trauma of it all. I always picture these organizations to be structured like what I would see on the TV show A Different World, lol, and even though it showed things that went on during pledging it truly was a different world from what we see happening now. Thank you for sharing this was informative, and pray it wakes people up in Jesus name.

A different world highlighted when grays and sororities used to pledge above ground. But the devil
Behaves much differently in darkness. He spits on people, paddle them until they are black and blue, borderline take their life or actually take their life all in the name of their demonic god or godeaa that they wear on their crest. These people then become magically bff’s after they cross. Check out Fred prices message on frats and sororities being demonic. It’s heartbreakingly true and sad. But Jesus can give hope! Tell your. They are extremely deceived as well. God sent me a woman of God that denounced her Christian Sorority because God revealed its idolatry as well. Her testimony is dropping on Saturday. 🙌🏽

That’s what I had in mind as well. Had a sis that mentioned she wanted to join one and it just didn’t sit well w/me. She said she wanted to join so she could volunteer. You have your local church that you can volunteer in. Well, I later learned there were a lot of my other sisters in this same group. One of them invited me to some session they are having. I just replied thanks for invite but I will certainly not be attending. I can’t wait to hear the other young ladies testimony. Thanks for sharing. Ppl need to know. I was always asked if and who I would pledge w/in college but I had no interest in it at all.

I never wanted to pledge and I was groomed by my mentor and begged by so many friends saying I was a perfect candidate, but I do not like people enough to join a social construct like that, and I’m not made up to knowingly subject myself to judgement and even harm (mental, physical, spiritual), so it was not of interest to me, I had one goal in college, to graduate early and get into med school, I was on scholarship and my single mother had no extra money for shenanigans, I get the appeal for some, but I am still wondering how people had all that extra money and time on their hands in college, not being judgmental(to each their own),I just could never figure that out🤔😂
