The good players are usually the nicest guys. Gino takes time and shows the RIGHT way to play in easy steps, you can do no better than learn from him. Thanks for sharing your skills. RESPECT.
Gino, your teaching technique is the simplest to follow and learn quickly. I could not find any better on internet. Please make few more videos so we can learn bit more pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thank you Gino. I am a bass player who has always dabbled in percussion but conga sounds were a mystery. You are precise masterful and generous. Have a great day.
Thank you Gino for explaining the beginnings of the conga. I have a set but I never have gotten it together. I will practice what you showed and let you know. Charles
Muchas Gracias Señor Castillo! Tu el hombre!!! I take part in a full moon drum circle and didn’t have a drum until my brother gave me one of his conga. I am very interested in learning drumming however I feel the conga has too high a pitch for beginning and blending in with others in the drum circle. Any suggestions for me? Peace and kindness to all. 🕊☃️🏕
Gino Castillo - the best ever fine-detailed video! I hope you continue to do this, it's just amazing how you do the detailing. What city are you from? I'd like to fly down and see you perform live. Thanks.
Absolutely the best, most informative beginner video I've seen. Thank you for posting this, Señor. Sciatica makes playing the drums very uncomfortable for me, so I'm looking forward to transitioning to percussion. Muchas gracias!
Hey Gino, So other conga players play the left palm or "heel" only - no fingers or flat handed like you. Is there a wrong and right way. It seems you feel the right way is to have the left hand flat because you make a point of it. But other masters say to just plant the heel or palm. Any reason why I should do it flat ? Thanks!
I'm interested in learning how to play the congas but at the moment I cannot afford a good set for beginners so I was wondering if it would be the same to practice on a set of Bongos in the mean time?
