If they will come unexpected to your cave farming area / base and destroy it while fighting them they would really suck. I hope Klei will figure out how to make them a neat and not annoying addition to the game like shadow sharks.

If they don't fix mimic gear working as intended, you can just leave a construction amulet or two in the center of a tile near a station and easily tell which ones are mimics, thus permanently halfing the cost of ruins crafts if you have an amulet or two
I also think that like, once you have a tier three shadow maul you have beaten the game anyways, there is no real need for balance, because there are no real new challenges (at least as the game is now)

I see the gloomerang as a good weapon to deal with celestial champions phase 3, especially for people that despise how much it runs way. Usually people take out fuel weaver first so it's possibe to have 1 ready by reaching CC.
And if you kill CC first you get the staff to help with fuelweaver minion/hands phases. It's pretty cool to have a boss unlock something helpful to their counterpart, I think
14:26 you didn't notice, but Cowl gives 1 more throw/"ammo" for Gloomerang and boosts your damage for 10% (I hope remembered correct, silly me) Your guides are OP, love your content😌

Nice update. I have a question. What happens if you use a mimic as a crafting ingredient? For example, a mimic disguises itself as a golden pickaxe and you try to use that mimic to craft the Pick/Axe in the ruins?
didn't test it but I imagine in final release the mimic wouldn't be allowed to be consumed, so would transform back when you attempt to use it in a crafting recipe

Not a question about the new update but the latest updates have felt sucky because everything is so endgame. I dont like having to put like 20 hours into a single world to see a handful of items and more things to farm for
I think the devs are trying to leave the game mostly untouched to the casual eye (not changing core mechanics & 1st year content) while also providing new content to more experienced players
It only avoided the annoying part for finding the atrium ( or that's what I only used it for) People use cheese strategies to avoid engaging with annoying,costly, inefficient or sub optimal mechanics within the game. So instead of asking why we choose to cheese ask how could the developers make it a more enjoyable or more worthwhile experience. ( This is why the current meta to kill bee queen is pan flute spam ) Bottom line is if developers patch and balance a game which makes the game less fun to engage with its a net loss. Games are supposed to be fun even if some of the fun comes from bugs or exploits especially in non PVP games. There have been a few games I used to play where the developers nerfed my builds which made me quit playing their game and those games are pretty dead now. ( Remember the Wolfgang rework and how bad he was initially? The community hated it so they made him even stronger than he used to be. ) So I understand why these changes were made but I do think it was made at the expense of fun and enjoyment.
The older your world the more krampi you get when you trigger a krampi event, to get 6 though perhaps 2 players triggered a krampi event at the same time?

I hope they keep it but its not as strong. Maybe half as much heath and it'd still be really good.

rock lobsters are really hard to kill, so they will eventually kill the boss but it might take a while

a tier 3 shadow piece kill is 1 progress kill on the maul, so killing a tier 1, 2 and 3 is 1 kill total
