Sad to see some members passed away due to the life, but I'm glad to see things worked out for you Baldwin, great actor in that film you played it well. Wish you many more and a healthy life brotha.
So crazy how I ran into this I met Baldwin when I was about 14 years old. He actually was a staff member at a girls group home. In Fullerton , he was really nice always trying to give us girls. Good advice. We sure did give him a hard time. We had no idea who he was until a few years later when I left the group home and I watch the movie and I see him and another guy in the movie that were staff members in our group home. Crazy !
It’s a great story because it was truly well acted and had life lessons and a father who was trying to shield his son from a violent world with many pitfalls. A masterpiece from John Singleton. May he rest in peace.
Crazy John Singleton connected Boyz n The Hood to Poetic Justice. In Poetic Justice when Chicago and Iesha(Regina King), were fighting, she clearly says,"When we get back to LA, Dookie and Monster gonna fuck you up!" Doughboy was dead, Ricky was dead and Tre moved across country to Atlanta..

Man this dude was super believable as Monster. Makes his performance even more incredible now that I know his backstory.
He was really good in this movie and a loyal friend in the film. A real soldier. Great film too.
