You’ve got to love messengers. I miss the days of telling your family you plan on 5 days but don’t start worrying for 7. I switched to zoleo so now I have two things that can go wrong. The good thing is that I’m so bad at remembering to send out messages they don’t worry anymore. Thanks for sharing the video.

I'm 100% sure those animals enjoy exploring the mountains, rivers, the woods, the deserts and whatever else you go,
mules don't enjoy being enclosed in a corral they rather be walking places far away,
hound dogs rather be outdoors walking around getting tired,
all your animals look healthy and happy. 🐕🐎

At 64, diabetic and 5 years of foot issues, with a big toe and 2nd toe amputated, I wish I could do what you're doing. My father, Deanel Chism was born in 1914, moved to Arizona in 1942 with 2, 19 hands tall draft mules, and bought a donkey. He was a prospector and did a lot of what you're doing. As the 7th of 7 siblings I went prospecting with him from around the age of 6, but only by his 1953 and 1952 Jeep pickups, until 1990 when we were forced to close our mining camp by the BLM and the USFS.

Shows your all class caring for loved ones many turn their heads. If your dad starts to show odd behavior slurred speech ect could be a urinary tract infection they really reek havoc on the elderly/ my nana recently past but I cared for here for the last 5 or 6 years and it was a blessing to be warned about the UTI's she would get real restless seem agitated angry and I would call doctor or tell hospice for a test or they have strips that work pretty good I found on Amazon but every time she was positive and within couple days she would be back to herself again. I believe they are overlooked and the symptoms blamed on Alzheimer's. I also found coconut water the best thing to keep her hydrated. Wish all the strength and blessings one thing I always kept reminding myself was to care for others sometimes you need to take time for ourselves even if it's a hour.

So many questions! What was your fire starter? What's on your dog's collars? And wasn't there anything on the ground the mules like to eat that you didn't steak them out? Thanks for the adventure!

I think I used vaseline and cotton balls .. there was grass but also a steep bluff I just grained them in feed bag didn't want to take a chance .. collars are for tracking the hounds .. I always stay with them but if they hit a scent and go someplace I can't get to I can find them .. for safety of the dogs .. Thanks for watching

Once again another awesome video! A couple of questions, what all do you pack in with you and what’s the total weight? How far are you going in?

    • @BrettVaughnB100

I am going to make a gear video soon .. I only went in a 4 or 5 miles I guess .. I came out another way it was about 7 miles .. my panniers loaded don' weigh over 25 lbs each .. I might change my bedroll though .. I would like to go with everything in the panniers and no top load so I don't have to throw a hitch .. be lot fast when I make some more long rides ... Thanks

Great camp and the cliff dwelling was very interesting. I like when you kept reminding yourself to slow down. It reminds me of a friend I hunted with who use to say while sitting in hunting camp while enjoying the serenity, “I wonder what the po folk are doing”.
