You’re off to a good start so I’ll be joining your adventures. I expect that in my 70’s I can still enjoy learning. Curly tail on my shopping list tomorrow.
It's hard to beat a good day of creek/little river fishing for whatever bites! Congratulations on the PB smallie and all the different types of species's you caught was pretty cool!
Yessir! I have been smashing fish with 1/8 oz road runner and 2 inch white grub for more than 30 years, same setup. Its my go too if fish wont bite or if i just want to not waste time casting, get straight to catching. Nice job kid.
excellent video as usual! you should try these new Z-Man Micro Finesse lures I got the TRD's and all the videos I've seen on them show they work I think you would tear up this creek with some TRD's or the little ShadZ in the pink coconut color keep up the great work!💪🎣
Good fish kid 👍Bass eat ANYTHING moves try catch wild brown trout for we challange on the white grub lol or if after try some differwnt ones that be vid for ya 😎👍
White is a really good color in shallower water but weirdly in deep water it loses it's color especially in stained water so in deeper water darker colors like, black, blue and purple generally work better and pink can be money sometimes as well.
I recently got some little Senko type worms, Bass Pro brand, that would be awesome in that creek. You could put them on a Ned rig head, Texas rig them, wacky rig them or drop shot them. I grew up fishin' on the beach and bays in Florida and bigger curly tail grubs are a classic lure for lots of fish. We use lots of 3 to 4 inch grubs with 1/8 or 1/4 oz heads. And of course there are a bazillion different tails you can put on jig heads. You might enjoy Z Man tails, they're the toughest and they float without weight, so they sink slower. They have creature baits and Ned rigs that would rule that creek. Cool video.
Very versitile lure. I think I've caught nearly every freshwater species that is common in the north-central atlantic region on curly tail grubs. Everything from tiny breem to good sized bass and walleye to huge channel cats. I've even had some luck using them in salt walter. Plus they are relatively cheap so you don't have to fret over losing them
Just got my first ultra light can’t wait to hit a peacock here in Miami they’re not a run for structure fish most of the time more worried about getting good hook sets on ‘em.
Little Dude so glad to see a young man out enjoying nature rather than sitting on the couch KEEP IT UP you may have a future at this

Awesome video. Congrats on PB with the smallmouth!
Awesome video man. Makes me wanna use a curly tailed grub more often.
I find the same lure in green pumpkin with red flake might be the bite-iest lure of all time
Awesome video! Those smallmouth looked like a lot of fun, and congrats on the PB!
Thank you! Smallmouth are definitely my favorite fish to catch, they fight so hard!

Good luck, ultralight fishing is tons of fun!
Great video and awesome catches. What size grub were you using and what weight is the jig head?
Thank you! I believe I used a 2 inch grub and a 1/16th ounce jig.
Love the sunglasses can you send a link?
Yeeew!!! Like 100 Bud!🎣💥

Congrats on the PB! I need to get myself a grub😂. Also what river are you fishing?
Thank you! This is the Clinton river.
I Gonna catch some perch with that !
What size jig head are you using?
If you will turn that grub with the tail up it gets much better action.
Some one gave a pack of Yum grubs , i need to test them out.
Great video. I what size head you are using here?
Thank you! I believe I was using 1/16 ounce in this video.
@@CurtisOutdoors perfect, thanks
Rock Bass + Creek Chub = Catfish bait!
Where do you buy the Curly tail grub
tail works better when it curls the same direction as the hook
I used to do it that way and the action is better, but your hookups won’t be as good.
Can I use 6 pound test for ultra light?
For sure, I use 4 but 6 works great as well
yooo
After this video I rigged up some grubs
Strange habit pulling drag after you cast and flip the bell over...it doesn't do anything!
It’s called a mud fish not a river chub
tiny
Ok?
A curly tail on a ugly stik rod. You can't get more basic than that.
