    This is the easiest and most versatile jig that I have seen made so far in youtubeland. I'm glad I found this video before proceeding to make my own. Thank you so much!

      Really? It works fine when the wood is exactly the same thickness, but what about if it's thicker or if the wood is thinner? Then it's prone to wobble as you are cutting!

    I plan on a simpler jig, with a chunk of 2x4, a few small chunks of wood, and glue.

    There's an ice cream truck parked outside my house, so that's the background music I had for this video lol.

    I think a better solution would be to make the jigsaw move within a guide.
    Right now, you are still at mercy of your hand to get the straight cut. It will be a matter of time before accidently cutting/chipping off your guide wood pieces, IMO

    • @AllFlavorWorkshop
      @AllFlavorWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is true. The track would hold it better in place. 👍

    • @darkspeed62
      @darkspeed62 ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely agree, and if the wood is thicker or thinner than the jig, you are also prone to wobble.

  • @bipulkalita5780

    very smart actually.

    • @AllFlavorWorkshop
      @AllFlavorWorkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Bipul. 👍 Simple but quite effective. The only setback here is to make sure the pieces are 90 degrees.

    Me parece que le falta estabilidad a la herramienta en su otra mitad ya que queda al aire.

      Funciona para cortes rapidos, pero es solo un quick build.

    Would rounding up or down not be easier than 2.8cms or is this just what the piece of wood measures?

    • @AllFlavorWorkshop
      @AllFlavorWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is what the piece measures. Got it like that from the hardware store. :)

      Hello Bill, what what size was the cut piece and did you clamp it while cutting?

    • @billq3619
      @billq3619 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AllFlavorWorkshop yes I clamped it several times..I had to go to Lowes 2 times because believe it or not they didn't have any 1/4-20 full thread bolts in carbon steel only ones with 1 in thread so I got full thread stainless steel one's and stainless wing nuts..but no problem I got it hung up for future projects.. still like your videos.

    Guides made from wood can easily warp with time and abuse.

    Can I cut 2mm mdh 30x30 cm sheet?

    • @AllFlavorWorkshop
      @AllFlavorWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      2mm MDF wouldn't be a problem, yes, that can be done. The dimensions 30x30 probably wouldn't fit in the guide. Anyway, for MDF use the right blade. MDFs tend to tear.

    hi, I replicated the same but it doesn't work !!! the piece I try to cut moves and comes out of the clamp! why? :(

    • @AllFlavorWorkshop
      @AllFlavorWorkshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Giorgio, Is the fix really tight or does the wooden piece wobble in the jig?

  • @giorgioonofrio7710
