I have been camping in it twice. Moderately rained one night while in it. Kept everything dry. Lots of room for 2 people and just enough for 3. Four is only for sleeping with no room for gear. I slept in it by myself one one trip. I put a trunk in it and had a lot of room. Mine is green. I had a choice in either that or blue or orange. This is not a warm tent. I would expect to be the same temperature as your environment and plan accordingly. Since I do not camp out a lot with it, it’s perfect for my family and I. I like it and would recommend it for occasional camping.
I was just thinking about you the other day, your bicycle touring videos really inspired me as a teen. Thank you man. It’s been 8 years since I last went, trying to get back into it.
Get out there man...we only get to go around this thing called life once. After every trip I always felt a great sense of accomplishment...and the health benefits geez!
I purchased one and will use it next week. I’m 6’3” and am a little concerned about the height - or lack thereof. I can always change clothes while lying on the floor though. Lol!
@@camfromgmI’ve got a thick foam sleeping mat to use. Originally bought it for the back of my Highlander SUV thinking I could just sleep in there. Laughable! So I bought the tent.
Just bought one for our camping trip next weekend after our super old tent from another brand finally became unusable. The 4 person sundome is now also come in blue and gray, with green trim. That's the version we got and after your review I really can't wait to try it out!
After watching and reading many reviews of this tent I have pieced together the following: It is a 75D polyester tent with polyethylene floor; 75D Polyester rainfly rated at 600 mmH20 waterproofing. Because the reviews that I read and watched covered several years, and Coleman may have made design changes over those years, please use this information as a guideline instead of gospel.
We just bought this tent 3 weeks ago. We haven't set it up yet. Hopefully next weekend we will give it a try. Ours is green as well, only option in our store. I wasnt too thrilled about the green but its growing on me. Someone told me to get 2 more tarps, one for underneath and one for over. Do you think that's necessary?
A tarp for the floor is a good idea however the tarp for the roof is very well waterproofed so no extra tarp need there. I think you guys will like the SIZE of this tent...it is perfect.
