Nique was my first all time favorite player. I was born in 83 and we didn't have cable tv or video games. My dad worked at the bar in detroit (only job he ever had and it was for a couple weeks 😂) and he would buy stolen VHS 📼 tapes and he got me NBA superstars and NBA dazzling dunks and basketball bloopers. Fell in with with basketball and the human highlight reel Dominique Wilkins. We had the same nickname Nique. Thats what my entire family callede me since i was born. I never in my life seen someone else with that name. I would practice his dunks on a imaginary rim over my door with socks rolled up as a basketball.

And, he threatened his own teammates for holding him back! Kareem was scared to death of Willis. Oh yes he was, also I will add this tidbit, Willis said that there was "absolutely nothing he could do to guard Wilt". He was much to strong but to be fair Willis had a few good games against Wilt! Reed was the Capt." So far I'm liking your Podcast, you let your guest tell their tales/stories! And you lay back and listen. I'm 75y/o I was 9 in 1958 when I saw my first NBA game on WPIX NYC, I fell in love with BB, I took a wire hanger and made a rim, balled up a sock and practiced my hook shot! At 8 I actually thought I would grow to be 6"10!😅 The first clear day i was out practicing. I learned to shoot watching TV. As I got older I was good enough to start on a "little guy and later Biddy basketball on 8.5 foot baskets!😮 Listening to you guys brought back a lot of memories.

And this is why when someone scores 30 points today, I'm not impressed. No one can touch anyone. As someone who grew up with this kind of ball, I laugh when people say Draymond is one of the dirtiest players ever. NO HE'S NOT! First of all, he wouldn't even be playing in the NBA in the 80s and 90s, because he wouldn't be able to get any rebounds and can't score! Take any player today and put them in the 80s and 90s and their point total goes down. Conversely, put a dude like Dominique in today's game? Shoot, he'd average 45 if he felt like it!
