You are my gift on a budget inspiration you do such a good job at not only being a good steward of your finances but being an expert on your children and getting them gifts that make them feel seen and loved 🥰 I admire you so much ❤ Thank you for doing this collab with me
You did an amazing job. Those Lego finds alone are awesome. I love that they are also getting gifts that are made by their dad. Definitely gonna be things they keep forever. ❤
This is amazing. I’ve spent well over that on my one daughter and I wouldn’t even say I’ve went overboard or got her anything too wild. Prices are just insane and I don’t think I’m a very savvy shopper tbh. Would’ve loved to have watched this before I finished her shopping 😂
I never see Legos marked down that much!!! 😮 you got really great things!!! We also love to look all year and find the clearance deals!! If you give yourself enough time you can still find things specific to your kids and not just random stuff ❤ your Christmas will be so fun!!!
For the last couple years we have tried to get back to the real reason of the holiday which is the birth of Jesus. We now only do 3 presents each. But I’ve had a hard time sticking to that 😅thank you!
I love the minimus of the Christmas kiss I love the fact that your husband is making some gifts that’s really adorable I love the fact that you’re working together and that you thought about all the gifts for which you have got your children it’s so sweet
One idea to consider if any of the kids really miss the matching PJs - craft stores run some good sales on blank t-shirts every couple of weeks, and day after thanksgiving will have 40-50-60% off coupons. So you cld buy blank matching t shirts in all sizes, and a set of acrylic or fabric paint, and have the artsier members of the family make matching Christmas shirts and or PJ tops!
Looks good. Less toys means they will actually play with the ones they get rather than being overwhelmed with loads. Looks like your children will have a good time.
- I only have one child -age 14 I save up all year for it. Doesn’t take much to put back money every paycheck. I do spend a lot every year but its never on crap toys he will never play with. you did a good job with the budget, the gifts are nice!
This is a fantastic video! I was curious what we'd see out of influencers this year, with soaring prices on everything. I'm happy to say that you are added to the list of realistic influencers that understand their content actually influences people. (Crazy, I know, that most still don't understand this.) You've eased my mind and helped many resolve to spend less money and be more intentional with their gifts.❤
Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing! Many of us are in the same boat and this was helpful to know a great Christmas can be done on without spring a lot of money. Also, the 3d gifts are so sweet! How thoughtful 🥰
Just wanted to say hi from a fellow 2nd gen homeschool mom! I started kindergarten with my oldest this year. Something I dreamed about since I was a young kid. I'm so thankful to be able to homeschool and be a sahm ❤ Loved this video! I was able to catch some clearance items for Christmas this year. I also like finding stuff on fb market place too 👍
Wow, wow, wow I am amazed! What wonderful thoughtful gifts! (love the 3-D printer items) I am just blown away with what you guys spent! Great job momma! It's so hard finding deals that good in Canada. Your kids are going to have a wonderful Christmas morning! Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas 🎅
You could do Christmas socks which is still a way to take a cute matching picture but is much more affordable than pj's , another idea is a special Christmas mug for each kid ( 2-5 dollars at Ross or the dollar tree even).
Total respect for you. We find brand new games, jigsaws, books and toys in thrift stores and its the best way to shop. Watching vulgar videos at Christmas with kids opening over 50 presents each to me is outrageous even if you have the budget. One kid actually said I'm bored now. Kids need to appreciate money and more importantly be humble and not spoiled. Great video. Your children will be grounded and appreciate everything they get later in life. Great mum, well done ❤
These are great gifts! I shop clearance year round due to two of my kids having December birthdays haha. The last couple of years I have actually gotten a lot clearance toys online! Super convenient 👌
Love the board games and Lego deals! Our family always gets legos ,movies, board games, clothing, books mostly for Christmas! Plus family Christmas pjs! Target and Wal-Mart have great wide sizes for on the budget Christmas pjs!
My Dad has loved printing Christmas gifts and birthday gifts with his 3D printer...and I have him print me some manipulatives for homeschool once in a while...
I totally agree but less is more that they can definitely get overwhelmed I have three grown children and five grandchildren and I’ve always noticed that no matter how many gifts I have but always noticed they pick one and discard the rest..So for us so that is why we have decided to just buy the one big thing or two or three little things that they want
I dont play chess but that dragon chess set would make me learn...real quick....lol....The best gift for my children was a no sew fleece blanket. I found their favorite fleece theme. Wrapped it. After Christmas I took each one individually and let them purchase the other side then I took time for each one and we locked ourselves in a room laughing and giggling making it together. They are now 22 and 18. Finally making them new ones this year as a suprise from me. Because at 51 I decided to start sewing and I'm making my first projects, matching pillowcases. We were also books, games, Legos for my son and anything barbie. We had a rule in our entire family growing up birthdays were what they needed and christmas was toys.
Love the 3D printer gift ideas! My husband has made gifts for our kids and nephews in the past and it’s always a hit. He made puzzle toys, fidget toys, little puzzle containers, a snoopy for my daughter, Mario brothers stuff for my son, a cool water bottle holder for my son’s bunk bed, cute little taco holders that look like trucks… He’s designed some things himself with an app on his iPad which takes more time but most things he finds on Thingaverse.
I can't believe how many people are losing their minds over this. These gifts are thoughtful, quality and great. We do our gifts on epiphany, the twelfth day of the christmas season, Jan 6, to celebrate the wise men giving gifts of gold, francicnse and myrrh. Christmas day we will go to mass and do a puzzle and snuggle up and watch movies, eat favorite foods and go for a family walk. They have loved that every year! 🤷♀️
I have kids about the same ages and we do similar stuff. I have a shelf in my closet with a box where I store the gifts I find on clearance. Also I LOVE Book Outlet for gifts. I'm envious of your Lego finds! My older kids love the Mighty Jack series and the companion series Zita. It was one of the first books my reluctant reader read all the way through on his own.
As my children have gotten older, our Christmas pj tradition has changed more to loungewear or athletic type clothing. Something comfy, but it gets more wear in the long run.
Great video! I like that you jumped right in to share. You told us a bit of info, and that was great to hear about the deals you got, but without a half hour of commentary. I really enjoy this kind of video, but don't have time for so much commentary, and too many talk so much, that I end up clicking off of the video. I just like seeing what people get. I'm not saying that to belittle anyone, but wanted to say how much I enjoyed that you jumped right in!
I’m the same way I have adhd and have the attention span of a fly lol 😂 so I make my videos the way I like them mostly bc I don’t have enough attention to edit long videos 😂 all that to say thank you for the compliment and glad you enjoyed it
@@LifeintheMundane Oh my goodness, I have it as well, was diagnosed as an adult. It's great to meet someone who gets it! Thank you for that..sometimes it's easy to feel alone when dealing with that. Thanks for this video I love it! 😊❤️♥️ It's the day after Christmas and I love watching videos about what people got for themselves and each other for Christmas day but I dislike the ones where people buy loads of presents, and get really expensive ones. Because I use to do that every year 😞 I use to buy 20-30 presents and waste loads of money only for my child not to remember what I got him each previous year because he was so overwhelmed, and it just built up clutter and I wasted so much money. And he got greedy, ungrateful and spoilt my own fault cos I was giving him too much. And I use to buy 10+ presents for the adults. But the past two years and this year I have cut it right down to 5 presents each. And done the 5 gift rule of getting something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read and something to do. And this year my child was much more appreciative and grateful infact he was amazingly kind and thankful and I didn't spend as much and there was less clutter and waste and each present felt more thoughtful. It felt like my child really took the time to look and appreciate each present instead of throwing it to the side to grab another..so I know I made the right choice. I also put the presents in Christmas gift bags instead of wrapping paper this year so I can reuse them next year. And instead of stockings I did Christmas themed boxes filled with small items with the same rule of something they want, need, read, eat and to do. And it felt more treasured by them. And the boxes can be used again next year aswell. But I like this video because it assures me that less is more. You got your kids a few presents each and they are such wonderful presents! ❤️ Such thought and care has gone into each one. You have done amazing!! And I hope you had a lovely Christmas ❤️
What an Inspiration your video was. and what an amazing Job you did for your children. although I don't have any small children at home any more, I have been dreading the holiday shopping this year, with everything being so pricy. You're video gives me hope in finding some good deals out there, even for the older children that are grown. Many Thanks.
I miss the days of clearance toys. My 11 year old daughter is a gamer and I’m probably over $1200 already. 😂🤦🏼♀️ I do go overboard on holidays though. I said we weren’t doing anything for our 5 mo old son and he already has a closet full of Christmas presents. I knew better when I said it and so did his dad lol. I’ll probably save some for his birthday. Those are amazing deals!
You are gonna love the mighty jack books! One of our favorite authors over here and we are actually getting several more books by him for the kids this year! Loved this video, btw. I always do a similar stories series on IG but this is making me want to break back into editing and make a video for old times sake!
Wow that’s quite impressive. I like to collect my rewards points and spend them. I think next year I’m gonna collect all my reward points from some of the stores that I shop at and just hold onto them for the year and then cash them out when Christmas happens.
Wow, this video healed my inner child. 🥺❤️ I love how you and your husband put so much thought and intention into these gifts. Growing up I would always receive a ton of gifts but not a single one was as thoughtful as any these gifts and I never felt seen or known, definitely a “buy your love” kind of home. It sounds like you really are attuned and present in your kids lives and take time to learn what matters to them. Keep loving those babies, you’re doing great mama❤️
I’m a SAHM of 9 😜. I got the little ones matching pjs at Carter’s for $6 a set, but this year I am skipping the bigger kids, my husband, and I. We have ours from last year and other pjs. The older they get the more they cost! Maybe we will do it next or maybe not. We are doing a family gift of new board and card games! Best of wishes!
Aww, I miss my kids being little! We did the pajama thing too, haha! Hey, that's great savings, you were able to get Legos at such a great price! Thanks for the memories!☃️🎄🌟
Love seeing your gifts. We also do 3 gifts for each of our kids. But it’s hard for me because I grew up getting a ton of toys. Plus family and friends saying its not enough. I usually buy multiple gifts and wrap them together for 1 gift. But this definitely shows that I can definitely do 1 gift at a time. Loved this! ❤
Yes I sometimes hear from others saying that’s not enough but truly I have found my kids appreciate not being overwhelmed and it also makes there rooms more manageable for them.
For Christmas PJ’s, we always do Carters on Black Friday, they’re $6 for the Christmas PJ’s! You can do it on their website too and I think they have family ones.
We do old navy! On a Saturday deal they have $9 matching pants for adults and $10 outfits for the kiddos. But would not pay the normal price without the sale.

And that’s great! I don’t think there is a right or wrong way as long as it’s in the budget!!!!
Thank you so much
You should feel blessed that you even got gifts.
Love that
Love that Star Wars Spot It! Game!
Yes she is going to love it 😍
Wow good job!!! Yes, a token of love at Christmas. Jesus is the best gift of all! ♥️
Amen
Thank you for this!
Your welcome! My stockings on a budget video is coming out in the morning. I hope it can be helpful as well.
Aww, I miss my kids being little! We did the pajama thing too, haha! Hey, that's great savings, you were able to get Legos at such a great price! Thanks for the memories!☃️🎄🌟
You’re very welcome
What wonderful gift ideas , especially the 3D items !
Thank you! 😊
Way to go finding so many great deals!!! ❤
Thanks, I’m really excited!
That panda is perfectly on point! Haha
I know right, it’s obnoxious but she will love it.

For Christmas PJ’s, we always do Carters on Black Friday, they’re $6 for the Christmas PJ’s! You can do it on their website too and I think they have family ones.
Good to know!!!
We do old navy! On a Saturday deal they have $9 matching pants for adults and $10 outfits for the kiddos. But would not pay the normal price without the sale.
