Playing fortnite has had a dramatic effect on my behaviour. First I noticed becoming increasingly violent towards my peers. Second, I started having vivid dreams about victory royales and vbucks. Finally I woke up with unmatched building skills. I am now the most successful carpenter and architect in my country, and I have left my family and friends to lead a better, wealthier life designing and building skyscrapers for billionaires in Dubai.

When i was younger, i didn't have any friends and i felt like everyone was constantly judging me at school. Video games were my escape from the anxiety, and they actually motivated me to study in a way.

Parents will always be concerned about there kids but many studies failed to control for factors that contribute to children becoming violent, such as family history and mental health, plus most studies do not follow children over long periods of time. Video game experiments often have people playing a game for as little as ten minutes, which is not representative of how games are played in real life. In many laboratory studies, especially those involving children, researchers must use artificial measures of violence and aggression that do not translate to real-world violence and aggression, such as whether someone would force another person eat hot sauce or listen to unpleasant noises. The US supreme court ruled that violent games DO NOT cause the youth to act violently. In Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Association (2011) the US Supreme Court ruled 7-2 that California could not ban the sale of violent video games to minors. Justice Antonin Scalia wrote in the majority opinion that studies purporting to show a connection between violent video games and harmful effects on children "have been rejected by every court to consider them, and with good reason: They do not prove that violent video games cause minors to act aggressively." Of course people will be against games but they should know hat not all kids like school shooters, did what they did because of games and most of that research is flawed. Violent crimes decreased 37% and murders by juveniles acting alone fell 76% in that same period.The juvenile Violent Crime Index arrest rate in 2012 was 38% below 1980 levels and 63% below 1994, the peak year. Games do not MAKE you do something bad. Its up to how the person interprets this.

Lag and hackers make me angry more than any other thing in a game.
Fun fact I went to UTSA and one of my professors was one of the leading experts in video game psychology and his results were trending more toward the emotion (aggravation/satisfaction) and not the actually game itself - meaning violent games had no stronger effect on emotions than a difficult 8 bit game.
He rigged two games - each with the settings rigged to be unrealistically difficult and super simple for each game. He measured participants emotional states with surveys before and after the game play. Students who played then unbeatable games that seemed simple showed more aggressive emotions than the same game rigged to be easy...violent content played no role in the findings

One of my close relatives was murdered while she was babysitting a kid who had shot and killed people in video games and wanted to see how it felt in real life. So yes, in extreme cases, video games can lead to violence, but only as a very, very uncommon exception to the rule.

Then there is something psychologically wrong with the kid. Not solely a causal relationship with playing the game. Someone's mental state could be playing a more vital part than the game that person plays, this is very true considering that most people don't have that reaction after playing a violent game. That's what the point of this video is. One can just easily blame the game a kid happen to have played while ignoring the true underlying psychological cause just because its the "easy" explanation... Also, I'm sorry to hear your loss.

I'm a serial killer in real life but ever since playing violent video games I haven't felt the need to kill anymore. There are certain games that allow you to add mods that basically make it just like the real thing! I am able to dismember bodies, play with the limbs, kill innocent people, torture them, bleed them out, and then hide my body in a nearby ditch. Thanks Bethesda!
