Very good video! Respect for your style of concieveing the storytelling and of giving the infos. And we put the Hotel in Bagan on our bucket list for our Myanmar trip next october! Cheers from a crazy travel couple from Romania!

@Indra who said it is rich? What is ur point? If you have No valid argument to defame someone country, better sit up ur mouth. Shameful for lack of intellect!
Hi Bill, Since I only had 8 days in the country I went by air all the way Yangon - Bagan - Heho - Yangon. I booked through Santa Maria Travels in advance. Prices in July last year was USD 110 Yangon-Bagan, USD 75 Bagan-Heho and USD 110 Heho-Yangon. But the prices are changing quickly in Myanmar so you should probably contact an agent directly if you can't find it online. You can also ask other travelers who have been there recently on the Myanmar forum on Lonely Planet.
Myanmar has three seasons: a cool season from October to February with average temperatures 68-75 F (20-24 C), a hot season from March to May with average temperatures 86-95 F (30-35 C) and a wet season from June to September with average temperatures 77-86 F (25-30 C). The ideal time to visit Myanmar is during the cool season. The Monsoon Season last from June to October in Yangon and the coastal regions, receiving over 5,000 mm (197 in) of rain annually. Lower Burma, the area around Yangon, receives more rainfall than the drier Upper Burma (around Mandalay). There are mountains which are permanently snow capped throughout the year. As a myanmar person, i want to prefer cool season to visit my country.
We are family of 3, going in Aug. 2013. Planning 11 days: BKK to Yangon to Inle to Bagan to Mandalay to BKK. Question is about travel between locations in Burma. Your opinion is valuable. Fly Yangon to Heho? Car from Nyaungshwe to Bagan? Bus from Bagan to Mandalay? I might fly more, but I can't find the cost and definite schedule of the airlines. Can you help? Thanks, much!!
If you have that long you should go by train for at least some of your journey, all of the places you list are accessble by rail and its much cheaper, plus fairly high quality sleeping car options are available for longer journeys.
Hi Eric, great video....I'm off to Myanmar soon and was wondering what is the best way to get travel around? How did you get to each destination. I'm starting off in Yangon, then on to Bagan and then Mandalay, Inle Lake and then back to Yangon...Do you have any tips? Cheers
+Jamie Francis Hi Jamie, I guess it depends on how much time you have. I went by air all the way as I only had about a week. If you have lots of time you might consider other options, like train ot boat, at least on the shorter distances.
Very interesting video. This is exactly the place that I plan to visit in 24 Dec to 29 Dec 2014. Can I know how do you book your transportation between these places, did you take any domestic flight? Also, did you engage a local travel agency to do all the bookings including accomodation?
Hi Irene, Yes I took domestic flights for all my destinations. Booked in advance through Santa Maria Travels. See my older reply to one oft he other viewers below. Have a great trip! Erik
Hi Erick, thank for share your video. I am going to Myanmar next year, but I will stay 5 days, which place is better I spend more time and which place should I spend less? Thanks in advance

Hinduism started in the Indus valley, Pakistan. So why did the rest of India adopt it? And why did those living in the Indus valley reject it?
I have been there. Beautiful country. It has the most beautiful sunset in the world.
I love the way Burmese people welcome people. My cousin have an Burmese friend at first I thought my cousin's friend was Vietnamese I do get Burmese people mixed up a lot. I respect them & their culture
