Also any chances you could create some content about the 69 Lagonda 4 door? The one that sits on the extended DBS body? Always been fascinated by the original stretched chassis 4 door db car.
Isn‘t it just striking how the East Coast looks so much more European than the West Coast? Even the light feels like Britain, France or Germany. Jay‘s garage in California? Another planet. Oh, and nice car, too.
Very enjoyable as always gentlemen ! Back in the late '60's you literally couldn't give away a Lagonda Rapide and l'm not sure the're worth a fortune even today. Thankyou
1:38 Before you go disparaging the 'Texas Instruments' dashboard on the William Towns Lagonda, remember what the state of computer technology was in 1976. Steve Jobs made the Apple I in his garage (1 Mhz, 8k RAM), Intel had just developed the 8085 chip (5Mhz!), and the 5 1/4 floppy was invented. Lagonda was a car with on-board computers! It was an absolute freakin' MIRACLE! ...Just a bit o' perspective.
Th 61 Lagonda looks like it took some styling cies from the Edsel. The 80s Lagonda was and still is super unique. May have been the first car with a computer screen in the dash.
The answer to this week's Fun, Fast, Fact Quiz is: The V8 Vantage Volante in The living daylights and No Time to Die DBSV12 in Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace.
It's kind of sad others especially Ford used this front end design and now took some of the exotic edge out of the look. now other companies are following suit.
Still nothing like the sound of a v12 Austin Martin. Except maybe a naturally aspirated v12 Ferrari. I think these naturally aspirated v12 will someday be classics. All these HyperCars with combined electric motors, batteries, and turbos might have more horsepower but it's killing their soul and character. Like Donald said it's the actual usable horsepower that matters.
Not sure who the gentleman on the left is, but.... he misidentified the cubic displacement of the engine slightly, totally blew the cylinder count, and totally messed-up the horsepower rating as well. So, he blew 3 out of 3 things related to the car's engine. Why is he talking about this particular vehicle then?
Osborne's more into history and styling than the mechanics of cars. That's one of the reasons he and Leno make such a good onscreen team. He's just not into the nuts and bolts. Hey, we can't all be gearheads. :)
6 litre V8?????????? Jeeez!!! WTF, Leno! Don't you have an editor??? Plus the sound quality is garbage - the V12 sounded nothing like that... where was the bass baritone? 3/10 at best.
Nothing slow about this car it can do 120mph or 200kph on highways in europe all day long something not many cars can, definitely not the battery powered ones that will run out of juice very quickly.
V12 Donald, V12 :)
V12, V12! V12!!!!!!!

lol I thought the car was brand new right as Jay was saying, "it's a timeless design, 11 years old already!", I guess it really is timeless
You guys bring out the true beauty of the Aston Martin marque thanks for sharing
Beautiful backdrop at Ochre Court.
I love the 4 bucket seats and the full length console

Mr. Osborne and Mr. Leno are a super-funny-expert couple!!!
The Lagonda creek is in southwest Ohio. The Chagrin river runs through Chagrin Falls on the east side of Cleveland.
Actually, the name of the founder of Lagonda is Wilbur Gunn (Automobile Quarterly Vol.7 No.3 p.328; sorry I couldn't help myself). Cheers!
The maximum speed limit on the interstate system is 70 to 80mph. Nobody NEEDS a thousand horsepower. But it sure is fun!
What a Awesome car , I’ll take 2 , Thanks Donald 👍
So, does Jay get to write off the cost of going to Newport as a business trip since he is a co-star of the Audrain Museum videos? I hope so.

DBSV12 in Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace.
but what did David Niven. the real original James Bond (just forget about the Jimmy Bond stuff in that movie) drive, in the original Casino Royale?
4:00 6L v8 eh?
We apologize, you’re right it’s a 6.0L V12!
Also 5.9L to exact.
@@MuitoDaora shhhh just listen to what it says on the engine bay and don't question the british engineers
Nice, very nice!
As Jay has the LA traffic police trained, I hope he also gets the Rhode Island establishment up to speed (pun intended).

I WANT ONE

Are barber shops open in RI? Asking for a friend....
I spewed my drink when I read that, haven't had a hair cut in at least 15 years myself...
The actor is looking pretty good for his age since he starred in Live and Let Die as Tee Hee Johnson!!!
Porsche are four seaters technically unless you're GT3 or special version
If you have no legs or are 4 years old

Where is the Love button!! ❤️👍 and Sub’d!!!
Looked at one some years ago during yet another mid-life crisis. Very nice but, for me, the interior was really ruined by the use of suede.
Didn't know Aston Martin had roots in Ohio!
Ford own them for a long time

It aV12 not V8
Not a grand touring car because its always broken
Utter nonsense. Had my Rapide S 2013 for 16 months, 9000kms added to 87000, nothing broken, never had major repair in its life. Uninformed rubbish.

Back end looks like a 2000 Dodge Intrepid.
I was thinking Chrysler Concord, but same thing really. Having said that, I still think they are beautiful cars for what they are.
2:00 i dont think jay knows who is sitting next to him
