Nah, Andy should win coach of the year. That fact he hasn’t ever in kc is disrespectful tbh. Andy is one of greatest coaches ever, and he’s the only won it once
No, actually. The packers are the best team in the league WHEN THEY ARE ON. Being at that stadium, with the pressure had us getting off to a slow start. If there were 6 quarters in the game, the Vikings are getting stomped. The packers came back easily in the 2nd half. Love just starts slow a lot of the time. The Packers are just a much better team
@@HelloSpyMyLie But somehow, they are stuck in molasses for 3 quarters when they play the Vikings. Once is a fluke, twice is pattern. The Packers can't move the ball until Vikings click on the cruise control.
@HelloSpyMyLie nah to be the best team you have to beat the best. They failed 5 times to beat the best teams in the nfc. First round exit in the playoffs since those teams are the best teams. Packers had an easy schedule this year. They showed they can beat bad teams and look good. They also showed they can't be good teams and look bad while doing it.
Well when you play 2 teams in your division and the refs favor the opposite team both times. It’s hard to win in the NFL against any team. Now add on top of that you have to play the referees at the same time. A handful of petty calls on the packers this game. A horrible PI call, MULTIPLE horrible offsides calls and they called Jacob’s touchdown back for literally absolutely 0 reason. It’s so aggravating as a packers fan. Especially when everyone knows the chiefs are absolutely coddled by the refs. But not a word about how the packers have been horribly officiated in this game AND the last lions game. I’m sure it was a great game for others to watch but as a Packers fan that was absolutely disgusting to watch.
The big throw on last drive to JJ, he also had TJ, Addison all layered in same zone and all open.....so much talent, and he s getting more chemistry with the receivers each game
All outsiders have really failed to grasp that weekly growing chemistry that Sam is developing, and the entire 10 defensive FAs are building with each other. Packers fans were adamant that they would win because Love was healthy, completely forgetting that the Vikes offence and defence have evolved a long way since week 4.
Thats what I have been seeing too, its insane how much time he gets in the pocket. I think Darnold is fools gold. Hes good, but the real thing making him look elite is an amazing O line, maybe the best WR pulling pressure from all other recievers, and KOC. I think we should let him go even if we win the SB because his price will be over inflated, hes not "that guy" he just has an easier battle than he did on other teams.
There are some football talking heads, or talking tandems, that restate the obvious and don’t mesh personality wise. These two guys are like a hot dog and bun. They have enthusiasm, fun, a sense of humor and wonder at what they’re seeing in NFL Athletes. Really fine stuff, fellas.
After the huge loss and disaster performance by Sam Darnold in the wild card game against the Rams in Glendale, AZ, these guys are now trying to walk back their statement. They are clueless, but speak with great bravado. That is the key.
When you see that, and it's not the first time that has happened, you know any talk about the Vikes not extending Sam is just foolish ignorance. There is no way Kwesi and KOC would risk ruining that locker room. If they cut the leader, and go to an untried 22 year old kid, they'll be destroying everything they've built this past 3 years. Sam will be back, and on a 2-3 year deal, not the tag.
@@srobeck77 No it won't. 1. It won't be $55m - the franchise tag is estimated at $41m so that is the absolute maximum Kwesi will have to pay. Kwesi can apply that without asking, and no other team can even talk to Sam until after Kwesi has decided. Sam cannot get to the open market unless Kwesi/Vikes pass on him. 2. Sam wants to stay and the team and FO want him to stay, so they will almost certainly work out a deal which is much more flexible for both parties than the tag. Jefferson has a new 4 year $140m deal, but his 2025 cap hit is only $15m. Deals can easily be structured so that pay players big money in year 1, but spread the cap hit over multiple years (pro-rated bonuses). Sam's deal will likely only cost $10-15m against the 2025 cap - which is about the same as it will cost if he walks. 3. Most folks do not realise that Sam's current deal has a $5m dead cap hit in 2025 if he walks, because of 4 void years holding a $5m pro-rated bonus. Murphy and Aaron Jones deals are the same. That means some money/cap space has already been counted as spent in 2025 assuming they are gone, but comes back to the team if they stay. If Sam goes it will cost that $5m dead cap, plus whatever it costs to sign a new back up/bridge - say $5-10m for Danny Dimes. So Sam's 2025 cap hit will be virtually the same if he stays or goes. 4. Assuming Sam is eventually traded in 2026 or 2027, assuming the team does go to JJ, the team that picks up Sam will pick up the liability for Sam's outstanding contract - which means the Vikes will get a refund of that cap space in the future. So, no it won't cost the team anything like $55m - more like $20m a year, and Sam will likely return at least 2 or 3 high draft picks worth much, much more than that. Remember the Lions and Packers built their current rosters by trading Stafford and Rodgers. Skol!
Colin is 100 percent right about Bills and McDermott and I wish more people in Buffalo would say it. Josh has NEVER let Buffalo down in the playoffs. It's always been McD, the so-called defensive coach.
Josh did a good job last year, he put up the most points on the KC defense that postseason, as he has twice. The only other guy is Brady and he went 2-0 and got 2 rings.
@@mendelspalter282 250 total yards and 3 touchdowns is letting your team down? your 20 million dollar receiver dropping a dime is Josh letting his team now? let alone he had the same amount of catches as he had drops that game. The TD to Addison was as good of a QB play as you will see. From the play action sell, to the foot work to navigate the pocket, then just an absolute 105mph strike. It was a thing of beauty!
I think Colin is more so giving the Vikings that grade because they don’t have any real big names on defense. All of those guys are solid players, but sometimes a great scheme incorporated by a great DC in Flores can help not only those players play better, it can help make the defense play better as a whole. Although I’d personally give the Vikings personnel a B- to B grade, an above average personnel made better by their scheme rather than their talent level.
As a lifelong Chargers fan born and raised in San Diego I am so happy to have Coach Harbaugh leading this team. It seems like we are finally being rewarded for years of loyalty to a team with a history of great talent with horrible coaching minus Marty & Ross years. I’ve said it for years, they needed a leader of men not some fraud like Staley or Any other soft dude. Harbaugh is a great leader teamed up with a superstar QB Herbert and Defense Leader like Derwin James. Future is bright finally for Bolts Fans!!!!
You really see the value of coaching/coordinators when you BET real cash for or against a team. I bet against Kevin OConnell ONE TIME, LAST YEAR and haven’t bet against him since. Playcalling GENIUS. I will never bet against him idc who the qb is. Even last year, Dobbs, etc the guy is a MASTER playcaller
Purdy blows as you witness last night. Ton of yards against a back up Lions DB's but also ton of turnovers. He's just slightly above Daniel Jones don't pay him more than that.
Yes Darnold can get big money, but I can see him taking less to come back to Vikings team....it's comfortable, he's got chemistry. He's earned it to take the $$ but he may take a lot less to stay.....Viking side, yes u want him back, but want to keep a large cap space to turn a great team into a juggernaut next year

I believe he will be on par with darnold soon. I would take the chance on offering sam darnold a team friendly contract since for one. The Packers defense NEVER gets a clutch stop in a big moment. Last time they did was super bowl 45. Their last two GMs have absolutely no clue on how to build a defense.
Man you put it perfectly. As a pack fan, In the BIGGEST DEFENSE MOMENTS (they can get stops during important times but not the huge ones) I watch with clenched teeth.

This literally isn’t true lol. Based on your use of the word “their” and not “our” defense I can assume you aren’t a fan of them and therefore don’t actually watch all the games. Hence your comment. If your claim was true they certainly wouldn’t be in the playoffs all the damn time.
The pack needs to be tougher, here’s the bright side. They hung in there in the first half, Cooper is a stud, Kingsley holds his own and with Jaime healthy maybe they can make a run
They were playing their C List at defense! Even Zayne Anderson the back up to the back up at safety went out of this game! This is still the YOUNGEST team in the NFL. Give them a friggin break. Missing Evan Williams who looked like a potential DROY candidate before injuries. Missing Jaire Alexander #1 shut down CB. They need to move on from Jaire and draft heavy at CB like they did at safety this year.
I don’t understand how John feels about Bo Nix. Last night on his podcast I thought he said how great he played and that Denver fans should be ecstatic about him. Today he says he played bad and gave him a grade of a “C”.
Bo did a good job. He's got a lot of fight in him. But he is a rookie, so he's still learning. I really like him. I do wish they had a consistent running game that he could rely on. I was proud of him, even in the loss. Colin and John can rag on him. They're inconsistent in their views anyway. If John was giving him grief now after praising him before for the same game, then his credibility is in question for me. His rating was 114.9. A couple of mistakes, sure. But also terrific plays that kept the Broncos in the game and sent it to overtime. Good for him! Cheer up. Joe Burrow was 2-7-1 in his rookie season. He struggled then. He knows all about having to struggle before finding success. I'm not comparing Joe and Bo skill-wise, as Bo will still need to develop some more with the skill players that Sean Payton puts around him when the cap situation is less daunting. Then we'll see how he does. But he works hard and is determined, and Sean's a great coach, so I have real hope for his future. Keep in mind, Denver has the third youngest roster in the NFL. They're learning and growing together.
I really hope the. Ike’s can find a way to keep Darnold and their weapons. In our greatest dreams, mcCarthy can be this good. Finding an elite QB is finding treasure in the NFL.
It's easy. I'd bet Sam's 2025 cap hit is about $15m, possibly lower. The other guys are already locked in - Jets, Addison, TJ, and Aaron Jones and Akers will cost peanuts.
When Darnold blows a playoff game everyone is going to come back down to earth. I'm sure all the same people were singing Case Kenum's praises as well at one point.
Right now he's on a one-year deal. Vikes' original intent was for Sam to bridge until their draft quarterback was ready, but he got a season-disqualifying injury before Sept. So there's a dilemma, one that will become agonizing should the Vikes get to, and win, the Super Bowl. Right now my bet would be that the Cowboys try to get Darnold. Dak needs a QB competition to show he's still relevant, and Darnold would be working in one of the NFL's best markets as a backup.
Allen will win it. These awards usually carry a narrative along with stats combined. Buffalo far exceeded expectations on what was thought to be a "rebuild" year with all the roster turnover on the offensive side of the ball. Shakir was his only WR coming back from last year and look what they were able to do on offense setting a team record for touchdowns. The Ravens on the other hand regressed from last season down to five losses from top seed last season.
Tbh. Allen deserved MVP last year and Lamar deserves it this year, but team success seems to be a big factor in who wins. Bills were the 2 seed and Ravens were the 1 seed last year. This year Bills are the 2 seed and Ravens are likely to be the 3 seed
Sam in the 50’s Colin the franchise tag is estimated between 41 and 44 next year. If the open negotiation is starting at 50 million why would the vikes not tag him and save money?
@@triftex8353 Right and you are allowed to franchise someone two times. So we have Darnold already for two more years if we wanted to and then we could make the decision about him or JJ without giving up all the guarantees
@MarySmith-n1u It is a matter of strategy. I would much rather add two top end lineman with McCarthy rather than keep darnold. In recent history teams besides the chiefs win when the QB is on the rookie deal we have a 5 year window to stack our team before we pay McCarthy. Next year Darrisaw comes back and if we used the 44 million for Darnold on the o line I would really like our chances with McCarthy. Plus McCarthy is going to be really good and hes 21 not 27. We also need some corners, Harrison and Gilmore are prob going to retire and we don't have much in draft capitol.
@MarySmith-n1u Addison, Pace, Metellus, Nailor, Jones, Gilmore are all guys that are due to get paid soon and Addison is probably going to require 25 million per year. Pace is going to require very high middle linebacker money. The question you should ask is how many of them are you willing to give up to keep sam esp when you compare it to keeping them all with McCarthy. That's why it is such a big decision
If I was the GM I would franchise Sam and the day he signs it I would trade him to the colts for Quentin Nelson. The colts get a franchise qb while clearing 20 million to help create room for him. We add the best left guard in football to play next to darrisaw. We could prob get a couple draft picks in that deal as well
Sam can/is making tougher throws than Purdy could dream of. And I think Purdy is fine. He’s in the Dak/Cousins (last couple years, not post Achilles) tear
@@zachbuschman3105we did see Cousins have similar success with the Vikings and get bounced out of the first round. So far Darnold has had one great season and the rest were terrible. So I wouldn’t say he’s better than Purdy right now because Purdy has been to 2 NFC championship game and had his team up in the Super Bowl. Let’s see what he does in the next few weeks. First is beating the lions
6:24 that’d a great point about coaching offense. I had a coach in high school who was a brilliant mind, could game plan and create plays for any defense; but couldn’t CALL PLAYS to save his life
Here’s the thing with Darnold. He’s absolutely earned more money, but why wouldn’t he take less to stay? He’s only 27 and will get a 3-5 year deal probably. He could gamble and take 5-10 million more a year with a different team, or he could take a little less and earn another big contract at the end of his next one. How confident is he that he will go to another team and continue playing well? He knows he can in this system. Why not play it out?
I think it’s pretty likely the Vikings are the #1 seed in the NFC. Good for them and Sam Darnald! What a really great job O’Connell and Darnald and Flores have done. Whatever happens from this point forward they deserve a lot of respect for what they’ve done this year.
As a packers fan, I couldn’t help but be wildly impressed by Darnold yesterday. Even the pick he had wasn’t as much his fault but just a great play by the defense. I honestly hope they move off him for our divisions sake.
not a word about Saquan rushing for 2000 yards after colins step son Nick Wrong said his addition to the Eagles wouldnt matter. no mention of Kenny Pickett (who has a winning record as a starting QB btw) or Tanner Mcgee throwing TDs today? Oh thats right lets talk about Darnold, Payton and the Chargers for the 15,0000 time.
If the Vikings do not trade Sam Darnold, they will be just like the Bengals money wise. WR and QB contracts will not allow the team to resign or use FA to shore up weak spots. Vikings need to Franchise tag Sam Darnold, and then trade him for a first round pick. They will then have a ton of salary cap to work with to round out the team. McCarthy working in the KOC system for a year with these weapons and a ton of Salary cap would be a very good team for 4 more years.
@@WayneSchmitz-u7n Exactly my point. How does Sam Darnold play without Justin Jefferson or a good oline? Things change when you pay the qb, but if they get to the Super Bowl or NFC championship game, That's a tough decision for the Vikings
What you have to understand about the Bills is that McDermott is here to stay unless he has a terrible season and the wheels completely fall off. You have to remember Terry Pegula selected Rex Ryan and the Sabre’s are a mess. Pegula will be happy with McDermott even if there was a first round exit. I’ve been a Bills fan for 37 years. Despite all the jabber from the wayward fans the old heads like McDermott quite a bit. He has some bad moments but I don’t trust Pegula to get us anything better 🤷♂️
Talk about how Sean Payton was outcoached. Talk about him not going for 2, when anytime a coach doesn't go for 2 Colin says a smart offensive coach would have gone for it.
Or about how he had RUN IT on his call sheet, and has ran it about 35 times total in 2 games during/since then. Bo getting called average for leading a game tying drive with multiple excellent passes during that drive
I was thinking Rodgers in Vegas, but no. Rodgers is done with football. He's an angry man looking to take it out on the world. That means he'll want to run for senator from some unlucky state where his name recognition will get him elected. He could run in Wisconsin without having to live there... Sanders and Ward both are 2nd round QBs at best. Slightly better than Spencer Rattler. A QB needy team should first build up its O Line, then get some WR and RB talent before subjecting some poor rookie QB to a physical beating. Ought to be a law...
Colin has been waiting 7 years to feel validated by Sam Darnold. Good for you "honesty broker" lol Sam better take whatever Minnesota offers... Unless SF comes in with an offer. Going to one of the dreg franchises will doom him.
He was already on SF. He ain't going back. They didn't believe in him then and was 3rd string. If i was Darnold I'd laugh in their face if they offered anything.
@BloodySoup74 he went there on a 1 year contract for "QB rehab" similar to what Zach Wilson is doing in Denver this year. Shanahan recommended him to Kevin O'Connell. If Minnesota decides to move forward with J.J. McCarthy SF would be an obvious landing spot. Purdy will be in his final year and if he holds out for $55-$60 million SF would be smart to move on. Purdy is mid.
Brock Purdy leads the NFL in QBR and goes OT in a SB Colin: “I wouldn’t even give him even $20 million. He’s not that good, he just has a great coach in a great system” Also Colin after 1 good season by Darnold after being bad everywhere else “Darnold is gonna get $50 million. He’s a top QB in the League now”
Darnold has superior arm talent, athleticism and playmaking ability (not to mention, he's Clutch) compared to Brock. THAT'S why Colin is saying what he's saying. Sam was taken before Josh Allen and LJ in the draft for a reason - he is a very talented guy (and No I am not saying that he is more talented than Lamar, etc). You can't say that about Brock. Brock is one step above a game manager.
@@ricardoaguilar5137 Dude, I have been watching Sam since his freshman year at USC. In life you have to ask if it's the situation or the player? The Jets could not have been a worst situation - horrible organization, totally unqualified HFC (who only got the job bc of Peyton Manning's reco), terrible offensive line and Zero weapons. FYI, Sam started playing QB at 16, not age 6. He was a prodigy who played the position for a Whopping 4 years before getting drafted #3 overall and before Josh Allen and Lamar. He definitely needed good coaching with such little experience, but he didn't get that until he got with Shanahan and the Niners.
All I'll say is om happy for Darnold i was happy when the jets drafted him as a jets fan. I didn't think we did him right. Jordan Love is not the reason for his slow starts. Every time the Packers play top tier contenders Matt LaFleur’s play calling gets atrociously conservative. It makes absolutely no sense. Against top teams you cannot “play it safe” to the point where it restricts your offense so much and becomes a liability. This is 100% on Matt. Defense was also terrible today.

Sam Darnold has had quite the journey since he's entered the NFL. His resurgence is admirable Turns out he is a franchise qb after all - A really good one at that
Damn shame they pay 55 million dollars a year to J Love and then go ask J Jacob’s to win the game. He’s good but not 55 million dollars a year good. Packers are going to be in trouble with that contract.
Colin doesn't think that Purdy deserve the money but Darnold deserve it? Stop it this is his first good season he have in all of his carreer, Purdy had 2 good seasons, went to 2 NFC championshipsis and 1 SB, plus he is younger
If Dan Campbell takes the Lions to The Super Bowl then he WILL win the Coach of the year. Did anyone doubt what Jim Harbaugh was going to do in his first year? The Chargers lost a bunch of close games last year so the difference now is the Chargers personifies Harbaugh's mental toughness and they now win close games just like the Lions. My best friend has been a 50 year hardcore Chargers fan and when Harbaugh left Michigan after a nation championship and all the NCAA nonsense, I told him that the Chargers would be in the Super Bowl in the next 2 years if not this year. You guys don't give Dan Campbell the credit he deserves as a culture builder and doing all that in the best division in the NFL. I think the Lions are a very special team and they show it by winning through all the injuries that would destroy most teams, they are getting the job done with the next man up mentality. They are Super Bowl Bound and will be a very tough team to beat for years to come. Just think about the defense, Hutchinson on one end, Smith on the other, throw in Davenport and Reader. They are built to win and Brad Holmes will only add talent via the draft and free agency, I think you doubters need to take another look at what is going on in Detroit. The ONLY reason Jared Goff doesn't have a Ring is he had to play against the Greatest Quarterback in the history of the NFL so he has been nothing but outstanding, yeah the defense is beat up but you will have to out score Ben Johnson's Offense and only the Bucs and the Bills have done so this season. They average 32 points a game which is the NFL's best so why are you guys such negative nancys?
The thing with the defense is it seems with Flores's style, is that they are so aggressive inherently but then they let teams back in the game. They gotta stay aggressive and focused the whole game or KC will beat us.
One of the biggest lies in sports is the narrative that the Packers get all the calls. They were cheated out of the last Detroit game which no one blinked an eye over, and today the refs gave the Vikings a free 3 points before half that ultimately decided the outcome of this game. Not surprising though, since Minnesota vs Detroit for the 1 seed next week means great business for the NFL.
They were following hockey rules, it was a make up call for their stupid calls earlier(low block for hitting a guy in the chest?), plus they called a similar neutral zone infraction on MN that was bullshit as well. 7 penalties each, almost the same yardage(51-47) Refs were not a factor.
@@zack6701Exactly, how about Redmond who wasn't in the neutral zone, clearly. Green Bays O line notoriously gets away with blatant holding calls. With Rodgers, if he threw a pick there would be late flags after the fact all the time. Green Bay gets more calls than anyone & it's beyond obnoxious.
Bo Nix plays well under pressure. He didn't fold at the end of the Chiefs game, didn't fold to the Bengals. Maybe they didn't execute but you can see when a team folds and they didn't fold.

Colin has TDS
Agreed 😂😂
This game showed how ridiculous it was for people to have GB over Vikings in their power rankings. Vikings are a better team flat out.
@@HelloSpyMyLie Maybe you should write to the NFL and ask them to make 6 quarters in the games.
@@HelloSpyMyLie But somehow, they are stuck in molasses for 3 quarters when they play the Vikings. Once is a fluke, twice is pattern. The Packers can't move the ball until Vikings click on the cruise control.
@@HelloSpyMyLiethey had 8 quarters and still lost
@HelloSpyMyLie nah to be the best team you have to beat the best. They failed 5 times to beat the best teams in the nfc. First round exit in the playoffs since those teams are the best teams. Packers had an easy schedule this year. They showed they can beat bad teams and look good. They also showed they can't be good teams and look bad while doing it.
Colin will somehow have the Packers ranked above the Vikings in his hierarchy on Tuesday.
LMAO... True 😂
Cry dude. The Vikings dog walked the packers for 6 of 8 quarters of football this year. Not one officiating crew could stop that. You’ve been worked
No kidding
offsides

The big throw on last drive to JJ, he also had TJ, Addison all layered in same zone and all open.....so much talent, and he s getting more chemistry with the receivers each game
All outsiders have really failed to grasp that weekly growing chemistry that Sam is developing, and the entire 10 defensive FAs are building with each other. Packers fans were adamant that they would win because Love was healthy, completely forgetting that the Vikes offence and defence have evolved a long way since week 4.
Finally someone recognizes the reality of the situation in Buffalo. Thanks Colin
vikings O line is underrated and gives Darnold tons of time! That line made Cousins look good last year!
Packers were playing with one hand. Good luck, fools.
@@flyingfishsurf If you played with both we would have beaten you by twice as much. 2-0 against you dopes this year.
@@flyingfishsurf this is such butthurt energy. You lost dude.
Absolutely love the insight and analysis from you guys. The best reaction/recap of football out.

If you haven’t seen the Darnold locker room post packers game it’s special. Highly recommend.
@@robe2504 idk man, 55million/year takes alot away from a team
You mean outside of Buffalo. Everyone inside knows these things.
Last year Josh Allen let them down, a few stupid plays on that last drive but thank gd the kicker missed so someone else was blamed
Josh did a good job last year, he put up the most points on the KC defense that postseason, as he has twice. The only other guy is Brady and he went 2-0 and got 2 rings.
@@mendelspalter282 a defensive coach gave up 9 yards a play. That’s indefensible. Of course SMD should take the blame

I was just checking to see when I was getting my weekly dose of Cowherd.. and like clockwork here he is
The TD to Addison was as good of a QB play as you will see. From the play action sell, to the foot work to navigate the pocket, then just an absolute 105mph strike. It was a thing of beauty!
Def wasn’t 105mph
@BratatoChip I know it wasn't 105. My point was that it was an absolute strike.
@ hahaha I know I know 😂🫡
Blake Cashman, Van Ginkel, hit man Harry, Greenard with 11 sacks, and a Byron Murphy with 6 ints is good defensive personnel 😂
Our secondary has been very average this year. We are very fortunate to have Greenard, Cashman, AVG, Pace, and now Turner.
Corner is definitely our weak spot and we are lucky injuries have not affected us too bad so far but our defense is better than the C+ Colin gave.
Vikings lead the lead with the most 20+ yard plays and big plays. This was not a fluke. This is who they are
As a lifelong Chargers fan born and raised in San Diego I am so happy to have Coach Harbaugh leading this team.
Something I always wanted to ask Chargers fans. Are their fan base still in San Diego or did they gain enough fan base in their new city LA?
You really see the value of coaching/coordinators when you BET real cash for or against a team. I bet against Kevin OConnell ONE TIME, LAST YEAR and haven’t bet against him since. Playcalling GENIUS. I will never bet against him idc who the qb is. Even last year, Dobbs, etc the guy is a MASTER playcaller
You are correct. Good coach and staff with team mix can make all-look good.
12:22 😂😂 did he just say our defense is C+ personnel? Gink? Grenard? Cashmen? Tillery? Smith? Should I keep naming studs?
"Never talk about a guy's money" lmfao
Purdy the last 3 months
Yeah compare Purdy's NFC championship year then next year SB into OT...but Darnold or Love or Stroud are given instant star status.
Purdy blows as you witness last night. Ton of yards against a back up Lions DB's but also ton of turnovers. He's just slightly above Daniel Jones don't pay him more than that.
I hate this attitude, like money is sacred
Yes Darnold can get big money, but I can see him taking less to come back to Vikings team....it's comfortable, he's got chemistry. He's earned it to take the $$ but he may take a lot less to stay.....Viking side, yes u want him back, but want to keep a large cap space to turn a great team into a juggernaut next year
Large cap space means nothing if you dont have a QB. I expect the Vikings and Darnold meet somewhere in the middle to make an extension happen.

Of course I wanted him to sit the season anyways to learn the play book, have koc fix any mistakes in his throwing mechanics, and to gain mass so he can take those big hits. I believe he will be on par with darnold soon. I would take the chance on offering sam darnold a team friendly contract since for one. Its the best team he has played for, two it's got all the weapons and coaches, three have you not seen all the love he is getting here.
@@RodgersForever122I backed the pack today have seen to many packer games I knew it was a fake comeback and they wouldn’t get that stop but that isn’t the issue Lafleur being a dumbass is didn’t take the points early called run plays at bad times to drain clock sure hes a good coach but he makes some mind boggling decisions that cost them in big games when things are tight
Love Colin and John.
Great chemistry.
Colin’s sidekick he great!!! Always honest takes!!

At times... 4th qt wasn't great
John called this at the beginning of the season. Keep him
I don’t understand how John feels about Bo Nix.
Question: Colin, are you still going to have the Packers ahead of the Vikings in your power rankings?
And the lions. Maybe packers will come back to reality. Historic bias is real.

It's easy. I'd bet Sam's 2025 cap hit is about $15m, possibly lower. The other guys are already locked in - Jets, Addison, TJ, and Aaron Jones and Akers will cost peanuts.
KOC is pulling the strings is why. He can find another puppet for less than 55mil/year

@PhantomObserver or the QB can sit back and learn for another year or two kind of like what Aaron Rodgers sat with Brett Favre
no matter what anyone says, these 2 know ball
Allen MVP, nobody talking about the 4 quarters he has sat because of big leads
Yep. Lamar has more than 100 additional snaps than Allen at this point.
So you’re saying he’s not clutch
And Lamar has sat out also. And Lamar doesn't play the Jv teams ( jets, pats, Dolphins) twice a yr. What happened when Lamar played Josh🤔

Sam in the 50’s Colin the franchise tag is estimated between 41 and 44 next year. If the open negotiation is starting at 50 million why would the vikes not tag him and save money?
That gets you only 1 year. And players hate the tag so he might not sign with them long term after that 1 year.

I think he will take a long hard look at Minny's offer. If they franchise tag him for trade bait that would be a mistake.
I think it’s pretty likely the Vikings are the #1 seed in the NFC. Good for them and Sam Darnald! What a really great job O’Connell and Darnald and Flores have done. Whatever happens from this point forward they deserve a lot of respect for what they’ve done this year.

@BloodySoup74 he went there on a 1 year contract for "QB rehab" similar to what Zach Wilson is doing in Denver this year. Shanahan recommended him to Kevin O'Connell. No talk about the Colts? The offensive guru/wizard missed the playoffs for the 2nd straight year. I was told he could turn any QB into a Pro Bowler.
His boy is Chris Ballard so he won’t dare say a bad word about them missing the playoffs per usual
@bryanlegarretta3404 does he love Ballard or Payton more?
Shane Steichen is an offensive guru. Anthony Richardson isn’t a franchise quarterback and might not be a backup.
@@KyChargersFan21 analysts can't have it both ways. Richardson is immensely talented. A guru should be able to hone in his talent, from what I've been told.
Colin saying 52M for Darnold is WILD.
But in that same take it’s cause the pack are paying Love the same money. LOL
😂😂😂
I mean it checks out though, how much is Deshaun Watson making rn? If they win a playoff game he gets 50M 4 years, easy. And he’s worth about that, this version of him.
Yeah because Jordan Love is decades better than Sam Darnold 😂
JFC it's comparable market value, not everything is
"WILD" when commenting on social media
@@JohnStockton7459 Love has looked decades worse than Darnold all year long, especially when the game is on the line and it's not even close......
Sam Darnold has had quite the journey since he's entered the NFL. His resurgence is admirable Turns out he is a franchise qb after all - A really good one at that
Dude it's 1 season🤣🤣🤣 talk about being caught up in the moment
Damn shame they pay 55 million dollars a year to J Love and then go ask J Jacob’s to win the game. He’s good but not 55 million dollars a year good. Packers are going to be in trouble with that contract.
Yea only about 3-4 QBs are worth close to that
Cowboys too
Colin doesn't think that Purdy deserve the money but Darnold deserve it? Stop it this is his first good season he have in all of his carreer, Purdy had 2 good seasons, went to 2 NFC championshipsis and 1 SB, plus he is younger
Wonder if you will still have Green Bay ahead of Minnesota in your Herd Hierarchy LOL
I wonder if I could do a pod cast 🤔, love this show!!
KOC COTY!!!!!!!!!
He definitely should take the deal 😂 he’s in the perfect system.
Cope more dude.
Packers at home get all the calls. No bigger homefield advantage with the officiating in Green Bay
That holding call robbing JJ as the catch of the year proves otherwise. And the chop block called on Harrison Smith was BS too
They were following hockey rules, it was a make up call for their stupid calls earlier(low block for hitting a guy in the chest?), plus they called a similar neutral zone infraction on MN that was bullshit as well.
Dan Campbell Fred flintstone analogy make me laugh
