    • @Shadow-jw1kt
      @Shadow-jw1kt 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +9

      This is the right answer. Honestly, it’s a little of the legacy, but this man was having the time of his life doing commentary and media and all sorts of things… but he wasn’t coaching. It’s the man’s life passion. Something he’s done for 50+ years.

      I actually like the guy too. He's great at formulating arguments (outside of lebron) even if he is wrong. Which he is fairly often. People complain about his politics, but every sports guy in America is a left wing nut job basically. There's nothing you can do about that. His lebron antics are embarrassing, but I understand why he has them because lebron is his hero and role model and that's how America knows him tbh. So you kinda have to "dance with the one who brought you" so to speak.

    Colin is completely wrong about Baseball and Superteams. If revenue sharing didn't exist in Football, he would be arguing that it is good for ratings that the Giants and Cowboys each have 20 All Pros. Instead, revenue sharing + salary cap exploded the NFL's popularity since every fan base can have hope.

      Brady also never won a SB without a top 10 scoring defense and another stat people don’t know about…during Brady’s tenure in NE over all those years if you take all the stats over those years NE had the number 1 scoring defense over Brady’s entire career there….I’m not trying to diminish Brady he’s easily the most accomplished QB of all time…but when people say greatest I want to know what they mean specifically and if we go by the eye test I’ve been watching football since Brett Favre won his 1st and only Super Bowl and just watching football Brady while being the most accomplished is not the best QB I’ve ever seen imo…I think there were others that could do more than him on the field and also think there were those that accomplished team success without as great of defenses and coaching and there were QB’s like Manning that literally changed how football was played and that were more athletic and could do more than him when a play broke down or under pressure…I know I’ll probably get jumped on by the Brady lovers but it’s just my opinion…peak for peak I would take Manning over Brady and I think Mahomes is now the greatest QB I’ve ever seen…he can do everything

    The Bill vs Andy comparison is terrible. You’re basically saying the rules had to change in both coaches favor in order for them to win. Andy’s high flying offense didn’t work when the league was more physical and Bills hard nose defense doesn’t work in the new offensive league.

    Blah, blah, blah, the NFL is NOT remotely better these days. It's not even comparable to the BETTER, more violent, more team oriented eras. Bad defense, bad rules, and bad tackling does not make good football. But hey, put some more tech, bright colors, pop stars, and showmanship in it...and we can finally call it the circus it is. Another unstated problem is grossly overpaid players, and no team loyalty. It's soft entertainment now, instead of a violent, bitter clash of opponents. As most of the combat sports can show you (and Rocky III) when you're rolling in money, why are you going to bust your arse and do dirty, hard, dangerous work?! In the old days this was the best money and cash grab they could get, but they still had offseason jobs. Now the player is set for life with one good contract (if they didn't screw it up)...and walk away as early as they want to. And the soft as cheese younger generations encourage that soft "take the money and run" attitude, because they don't LOVE the game...the VIOLENT game...the MANLY game. It's a Faustian bargain, the game gives...but it takes too. Oh, and your opinions on baseball are hot garbage. Go watch Field of Dreams, maybe you'll understand why they're ruining the game. But hey, maybe they can combine it with Topgolf, video games, and gambling. Because it doesn't matter what they're selling Colin, as long as it sells....right?!

      @nickbarcheck1019 The Patriots were cheap, eroding their personnel year on year... juggling the roster and still winning was down to Belichick as much as it was Brady; just look at Burrows at Cincinnati - great QB but flaky team.

    interesting.... nick wright acknowledges stats are different depending on what era you play in..... yet lebrons padded stats being inflated because of the era he is in, yet jordan still has better numbers then lebron, yet Nick still has LeBron over MJ..... Nick is King of moving the goal post when it suits his argument to back his "guys"

    It never seems to end well for legendary coaches. From Bear Bryant who died almost immediately after leaving the game. Same for Paterno. Tom Landry and Don Shula were unceremoniously fired as was Bill Belichick.

    I feel like DJ U never developed because of NIL. Caleb def spent his final year at USC not as focused as he should have been. There is no going back on paying the players but I think the NFL is going to miss a lot of talent in the years to come as a result of kids who do not come from money simply being too distracted.

    As much as we like to give things to Tom Brady, the first 10 years of New England was all Bill Belichick. Peyton Manning was as good as Tom Brady was the first 10 years. But nowhere was early Peyton Manning able to deal with Bill.
    I am not overly impressed with Andy Reid seeing all of the bonehead mistakes he made both with Philadelphia for those years and with early Kansas City .
    When game and it’s rules change where defenses can’t play defense and offensive has far more ability to not get hit, you saw the shift

    Y'all sound dumb talking about how genius it is to have superteams in the MLB and the NBA when the NFL has come around with its hard cap and eats EVERYONE'S lunch. The league with the rules that encourage parity just so happens to have the best TV ratings and overall spectator interest, by far. 90-95 of the top 100 viewed television programs IN ALL OF AMERICAN TELEVISON every year are NFL games. No other sport can sniff that number. Why would anybody in a small market MLB or NBA city give a rip about supporting a team that will always be inferior to the big city money teams? Dumb.

    From Bill’s view - had top qb, maxed team record and value, had complete control, life is football. Events turned against him due to loss of fit of his long term player strategy and over dependence upon top QB. Did his strategic analysis and found his vision would not be acceptable to NFL teams/ owners needing his strengths. Used interviews and league and team knowledge to target best team needing his experience and knowledge and prepared and sold his vision and plan to UNC governing authorities. He is successful in his acquisition of UNC program on his terms.
