Kakamega lies next to a tropical rain forest, the only rain forest in Kenya....it receives the highest amount of rainfall in Kenya...in terms of living, it should rank higher than most towns in Kenya, fresh air, secure, low cost of living, and very clean.
To be honest this is my county and am so proud of it. Guys don't forget it has one fresh air and most moderate climatic change ..it's also one straight city with most areas flat ..it's just awsome to be in kakamega town

Great piece on the town of my childhood.Done very well.Great seeing some of the places I haven't seen in many years like Lurambi,Bukhungu stadium that is being Upgraded..etc.Good work by the Governor.Kudos also goes out to retired President HE Mwai Kibaki for converting Weco to a fully fledged University-MMUST.This really helped revive the town.

I was born in this town (Kakamega general hospital)in the 80s,the last time I was here it was in the 90s 🤦, Milimani estate just opposite golf Hotel was my home. A big change indeed
