Its sad the writers had to go and kill the show. They could have left it open so that later down the road they could revisit it if the BBC decided to air it again. I guess its up to the writers to push for things the love, and never give up, when they do and they have with Lip Service they do stupid things.
I just recently discovered and fell in love with this show. I couldn't agree more. The style of Cat's departure was hurtful to the series. Seeing as Frankie's character seemed to be the only one not able to move forward from Cat's passing, it might have been better writing the two characters off leaving town together as a couple..rather than one episode apart, separated by death, thoroughly shattered and heartbroken.
Just because she is casual with shaggy hair doesn't make her Shane. Is this what all lesbian dramas are going to be compared to?. 'Oh but The L Word did this, and have that...blah blah blah'
Its not just her hot androgony. Its her aloofness, her troubled past with family, her many sex partners and hit n run style. Until Frankies character has time to develop she appears to be a watered down Shane.

this drama makes what L word didn't make because of actresses disaffection: take Shane and make her fall in love seriously.......
