this original band was & always will be one of the best southern bands ever. their music is very contemporary today & hits the heart strings everytime! RIP Tommy, Toy & George.
Yeah, this number here really brings back some great recollections from my teens. Yes sir, back then I had a knack for recognizing killer live tunes and Long Hard Ride landed in my top 20 first time my fuzzy worble ears heard it. Observe Toy Caldwell as he professionally goes about his bizz.
Dude, you know MOST of us weren't in the military and have little to no freaking idea what you said here. Can you give it to us in layman's language? Al I know is Toy was in the Marines. You say two tours.
Toys a marine he wasn't in the army he only did 1 your where he was wounded and if I'm not mistaken he was 1800 engineers but most probably 0311 marine rifleman I'm a marine that's how I know this

Absolutely
I just plain love this song.
Excellent southern rock band ❤
My God, I love the Marshal Tucker Band
Love watching the "thundering thumbs" of Toy Caldwell on guitar & Tommy Caldwell on bass. As bad ass as it got!

The group that changed Hank Williams Jr & Charlie Daniels life forever. In the best way.
that is one bad ass song
Cool. Jerry playing the steel part on sax. Loved their sound!
Amazing he could play a guitar like that just using his thumb to pick
best finger picker ever lived
Too cool. He could make that guitar ring so nice. A Les Paul king. One in a billion
Whip & ride boy's
Spartanburg. Welcome y'all.
Chester, thanks for sendin all that great sound, we love it in boston, Spartanburg great music town!!!
I think of them any time we drive from Ohio to the beautiful palmetto state. Really want to move there or Blue Ridge mountains
Hundred thousand thank you’s to Spartanburg. This music is so dam good. Wish I coulda met Tommy or Toy.
Great song, miss the banjo though, really great traditional/rock vibes in here! Much love familly!
Damn right seen em can't count the times with Charlie's band
Definitely missing the banjo player
I cant believe Toy was only 29 during this concert. I thought he was older than that.

@@davidgibbs381 Sometimes my stupidity gets the best of me. It should have been obvious what Mike Foxtrot meant. Duh. Me so dumb!!
@LoyalfanForever
:-)
What happened to the video of them riding horses and gunfights and such with this tune????
Ol' Toy was a guitar slinger deluxe.
Nobody could finger-pick a Les Paul like Toy Caldwell could!
Such a jam. His sound reminds me of a locomotive or Mack truck rollin down roads
Too bad windy city blues was not included in the mix.
I miss the Banjo as well, but I also miss the fiddle.
Camelot
Toy!!!
Disappointing, where is the banjo and the fiddle, yes good guitarist but that is not the fully Long Hay Ride!
I like the song, but the saxophone has to go.
Put banjo back in and get rid of that saxophone
Love the live version, Jerry, did a great job on his parts, the banjo was on the original version, great song none the less
Don't like
